I thought demo's would build hype rather then kill it. Give enough of the game to keep people entertained, but still curious for the actual game. A demo would probably help the hype even more.nintendo isnt going to build all this hype and let it all go a month before release
Last time I looked, stages and characters were not whole gigs. Or not even half a gig or even close. If that was the truth, Brawl would be a tiny game. Nintendo has some professional grade compressors that work for them. They make huge games fit on tiny disks. Trust me, I think we have enough space for a demo. It wouldn't even use up as much as you guys think.Even a single stage and a single character would be too much data for the Wii to hold methinks.
Ugh, why do I even bother. `-`; If that's true, screw everything I've been arguing about. That's a really old screenshot and was proven fake months ago.

Good point, but, think about this:I doubt we do. Even if you haven't downloaded ANY channels or VC game at all, I doubt a Brawl demo would fit.Think about it... It would have to be half a gig or less in order to fit. How often have you ever seen a demo thats only half a gig?
I've had a 1gig since I got my Wii at Launch.Good point, but, think about this:
They have SD memory cards for a reason.
Good thing I got one of those two-gigs at Christmas. :D
Think about this: you can't launch content directly from an SD card. You can't even launch VC games from them.Good point, but, think about this:

Let's use this as an example. You got 8 gigs to work with. Look at the Dojo updates and what we have seen.I doubt we do. Even if you haven't downloaded ANY channels or VC game at all, I doubt a Brawl demo would fit.Think about it... It would have to be half a gig or less in order to fit. How often have you ever seen a demo thats only half a gig?
Last time I looked, you could fit a ton of VC games and saves, plus channels on the Wii. I would know.Yea, but it would be dumb to have a demo that can't even fit on your Wii. What WAS Nintendo thinking with giving us enough memory for a few channels, saves, and a few VC games?
Those are real old. The author even admitted to them being fakes. Originally posted on IGN (or GT, not sure)Not to mention now there are pictures of it...

I think it's coming on Monday...I'm assuming like the MP3 Channel, it will be free. Not to mention, it seems VERY legit due to the fact that the game data looks to take up a lot of memory.
Also, isn't 1080 Snowboarding coming to VC next week? If so, Monday will be BLISS.
I'd just like to bring this back to everyone's attention. You're not getting a demo. They're going to at most do like the MP3 Preview channel and give us streaming movies. However, it'll all be rehashed stuff. I mean the exciting previews shown on Nintendo's premier preview service in Japan is using E3 Trailers. <_<;Unfortunately, I think everyone will have to be prepared to be disappointed.
The Everyone's Nintendo Channel already has Smash promotional material prominently featured there (Page one of the channel and it's also featured in the channel's startup stream as the first item) - and it's just the Two E3 Trailers + The major Dojo trailer for one stream and the other stream is the two Dojo Subspace Movies.
Anyone expecting a demo will be sorely disappointed.
whats to say they wont release a update that makes you able to run stuff of a sd card? sorry if they cannot do this im a noob on hardware, but that wud work...wouldnt itWii has only 512MB of flash memory. It's very, very unlikely they could compress a 4.11GB (at minimum) and 8.7GB (at max) game to less than 512MB, ideally less than 300MB.
There you go. It's not going to happen.
I know, but sadly all we can get are Wii and DS trailers, as well as DS demos. Don't get me wrong -- that's great -- but I'd also like to see some Wii demos in the future. Probably be in the WAY future.*sigh* I wonder when they'll release Everyone's Nintendo Channel in America...it's my most wanted channel. ^_^
its all kool man, im just killing to play it lols no e for all demo here no jumpesta....i just wanna play it lolshmmm...my bad, didn't realize you were Aussie. Hopefully Nintendo will release a hardrive a while before it hits PAL regions. Then you'll have a good chance of gettting Wii demos.
I am also, if people get to play it, it won't be the "holy grail" anymore, and could possibly lower the hype.Definitely agreed.
maybe..but if you get a glimse...a small taste of sugar humans are proven to want more....and i base that on absolutley nothing....d.a.m.n.I am also, if people get to play it, it won't be the "holy grail" anymore, and could possibly lower the hype.
It would be bad marketing.
