Wii has only 512MB of flash memory. It's very, very unlikely they could compress a 4.11GB (at minimum) and 8.7GB (at max) game to less than 512MB, ideally less than 300MB.

There you go. It's not going to happen.

#1 just because a disc can hold 4.11 gb's of data does not mean the game fills it up entirely.
#2 the beta will prob include only a small part of the game, most likely only vs mode, a few maps, and a few characters. that would not take ANY space at all.

I am also, if people get to play it, it won't be the "holy grail" anymore, and could possibly lower the hype.

It would be bad marketing.

E 4 All demo created MORE hype. Plus it's not like it has every mode playable.

xenesis man id be happy with that...lol im desperate for more smash stuff...withdrawl symptoms kickin in...ahahahahahhahahaha....even one level and 3 newbies and 3 returnings wud satisfy me and many other aussies till brawl is out. that wont be huge memorywize and if it is only have 2 news and 2 olds.

Yeah, and the whole game won't be spoiled, but we still get to play.
