My only requirements are that Tal Tal Heights, Song of Storms and the Lost Woods return as songs. Then, I'm set.

Only if they give it a new original arrangement. I'm not a fan of the Brawl arrange.
Yeah, that's what I meant, not just ports from Brawl. Newly arranged Tal Tal Heights, Gerudo Valley and Dark World themes for Gerudo Valley would be BLISS.

There's a lot of Zelda music I'd like to see, but most of my favorites already got into Melee and Brawl. The only additions I'm really hoping to see are the Clock Town theme and "Ballad of the Wind Fish".

Totally forgot about that masterpiece. If I had to narrow it down to a track per series...

Mario: World Bowser (Super Mario 3D World)
Zelda: Ballad of the Wind Fish (Link's Awakening)
Metroid: VS. Ridley (Other M)
Kirby: Masked Dedede (Kirby Super Star Ultra)
Star Fox: Meteo (Star Fox Assault)
Donkey Kong: Gangplank Galleon (Donkey Kong Country, remixed again)
Yoshi: Athletic Theme (Yoshi's Island, I need this remixed again)
Pokemon: The original anime theme (Nostalgia aside, tell me you would hate this)
EarthBound: Saturn Valley or Hotel Theme
F-Zero: MOAH MUTE CITY
Fire Emblem: Don't Speak Her Name (Fire Emblem Awakening)
Kid Icarus: Lightning Battle (Kid Icarus Uprising)
Wario: Greenhorn Forest (Wario World)
Animal Crossing: Another Go K.K. Rider remix.
Punch-Out!!: Jogging Theme (and it appears it's in!)
Sonic the Hedgehog: Chemical Plant Zone, Dr. Robotnik's Theme (Sonic 2), Solaris Phase 2 (Sonic '06)
Mega Man: Snake Man/Cut Man/Metal Man/Tornado Man/Fire Man/Sheep Man/Concrete Man/Hornet Man/Wood Man/Proto Man/Mega Man III Opening/Central Highway from Mega Man X/I love this series too much to make a decision.

Might as well throw my most wanted into this:
Super Mario: Koopa Road/Bowser in the Dark World (Super Mario 64)
Donkey Kong: I would like a version of Stickerbush Symphony that's closer to the version in DKC2. Just give it a full orchestra and you're good.
The Legend of Zelda: Ballad of the Goddess (Looks like it's already in there from the 2013 Developer Direct.)
Metroid: Crateria Surface, which is actually Samus' theme if you check out the Super Metroid: Sound in Action album. Would also like to see Lower Norfair/Magmoor Caverns.
Yoshi's Island: A new remix of the level 1 music from Super Mario World 2.
Kirby: I think a rock remix of DeDeDe's theme would be cool.
Star Fox: Falco's Theme from Star Fox Command, just to further differentiate him from Fox.
Pokemon: The original US anime theme. All other options are wrong. (Well, Kanto Legendary Battle and Xerneas/Yveltal's Battle Theme from X & Y would be cool.)
F-Zero: THE MEANING OF TRUTH!
Mother: I've always wanted Onett from EarthBound to be in these games.
Fire Emblem: I think a medley of the recruitment themes would be cool. I mostly just want to hear FE4 and Path of Radiance's recruitment themes. Conquest and Id ~ Purpose from Awakening would both be cool.
Wario: The Super Mario Land 3/Wario Land theme needs to be in here. (Whatever song plays on the title and the first stage.)
Pikmin: Plasm Wraith, nuff said.
Kid Icarus: Magnus' Theme and the Uprising Main Theme are my picks.
Metal Gear: Although it will never happen, I would DIE if the MGS2 main theme got included. Would also love to hear Metal Gear Saga from MGS4, and Showtime from Portable Ops.
Sonic: There's so many, but I'll limit it to ten: Big Arm Boss, It Doesn't Matter, City Escape (Preferably the classic remix from Generations), What I'm Made Of, Solaris Phase 2, Endless Possibilities, Planet Wisp, Speak With Your Heart, Knight of the Wind, and Lava Reef Zone.
Mega Man: Mega Man 3 Title, Protoman's Theme, Dr. Wily's Castle from MM7, the Mega Man 8 US Opening, Duo's Theme, X2 and X3 intro stages, and X VS Zero.
Animal Crossing: The Title Theme from the GameCube version.
Punch-Out: Super Punch-Out Minor Circuit, and the Minor and Major Circuit themes from Punch-Out Wii.
Other: The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 100

I'll make my most wanted music list later... For now, I want a Stickerbrush Symphony remix that's better than the original.

Everyone else is doing it, so why not?

Mario: In the Final, Evershade Valley, Dr. Mario, Chill (Dr. Luigi), and Bowser's Theme (SM64)
Zelda: Overworld (TLoZ: ST), Cursed Overworld, and Song of Storms (not remixed)
Yoshi: In the Clouds
Kirby: Cookie Country, Battle Against Friends Medley, Butter Building, and Aurora Area (KRTD)
Pokemon: Professor Oak (Pokemon Snap), Mistralton City, and Lavender Town
EarthBound/Mother: You Call This Utopia?! and Pink Cloud Shrine
Fire Emblem: Pursuit and Don't Speak Her Name
Wario: WarioWare D.I.Y. Graphics Editor
Kid Icarus: Reset Bomb Forest
Pikmin: Staff Roll (Pikmin 3), Perplexing Pool, and Garden of Hope
Punch Out!!: Soda Popinski, Main Theme (Wii), and Bike Training
Super Smash Bros.: Break the Targets (Melee)
Retro: Slay The Snake! (For the Frog the Bell Tolls), Forest Theme (Mole Mania), Theme of the Tiger (Sukapon), and Castle Town (Nazo no Murasame Jo)
Other: Squirrel Time (Pilotwings Resort), and Main Theme (Chibi-Robo!)

I might as well join in the fun...only doing new songs though. I cap out at 3 the most.
Mario: The Ultimate Show, Sky Station Galaxy, and Dire Dire Docks
Zelda: Song of Healing, Ballad of the Windfish (remixed!), Vaati's Wrath (remixed of course!)
DK: Aquatic Ambiance, Frozen Viking Island, Scorch N Torch
Metroid: Phendrana Drifts
Kirby: Drawcia Sorceress, Galacta Knight Battle, C-R-O-W-N-E-D
Star Fox: Boss B
Pokemon: Elite 4 Medley?, Route 15 (X and Y), Team Flare
Kid Icarus: The Reapers Line of Sight, Magnus's Theme, Boss Fight 1
Animal Crossing: Two Days Ago, KK Bossa, Agent KK (I mean really people is the title song the best you could get? If you don't play AC, might as well not put anything for it.)
Fire Emblem: "Don't speak her name!", Id-Purpose

Most of the series that have been announced thus far.

Wishlist time?

Mario: Bowser Battle (Paper Mario:TTYD), anything from Paper Mario actually.
Zelda: Koloktos/Moldarach
Pokemon: Pokemon World Tournament Final Battle, any battle song from BW/B2W2 actually.
Kirby: Castle area (Return to Dreamland). C-R-O-W-N-E-D and the Arena theme would be welcome too.
Animal Crossing: K.K. Jongara
Fire Emblem: In addition to the two big songs from Awakening that everyone knows about, Destiny ~Ablaze~
Wario: Jimmy T.'s Aerobics
Kid Icarus: In the Space Pirate Ship
Yoshi: On the Beach (Yoshi's Story)
Earthbound: Sanctuary Guardian. Perhaps remix it with Mother's boss theme.
Punch-Out!!: Disco Kid
Other: CAPTAIN RAINBOW!!!!
Bravely Default: That Person's Name Is. This song actually makes me want a Bravely Default rep even though it doesn't deserve one. Maybe one day.

Well, now let's see:

Smashville
Dr. Wily's Castle
Boxing Ring
Windy Hill Zone
Palutena's Temple (?)

Tortimer Island
Rainbow Road
Gerudo Valley
Tomadachi House (?)
Lumiose City (?)
Find Mii (?)

I'm eagerly anticipating Gerudo Valley, Wily's Castle and Windy Hill Zone.

Also, will grades be done soon? I'm not trying to be impatient.

My take away from this is that your'e dedicated to your studies, so good on you. I was in college for the pre-Brawl days, and I actively put off studying and homework till the last possible second just to lurk around these boards. I wasn't even posting back then.

And hosting a mafia game. :smirk:

Like I said before, if you don't have the time, let someone else host a round. It's a fun game, but the months between each round is just ridiculous and it's obviously going to cause people to lose interest.

Wait, wha? There's a Smash Bros. Mafia game and no one told me?

Seriously, I'd be more than happy to fill in if needed. I could host some Past Stage rounds in the interim if needed.

I'm working on making a realistic custom music pack for PM, but I don't have enough knowledge of some of the series/stages to make one. Could you please help me with some of them? (basically just redo the brawl stage) I need help with Hyrule Castle N64 (9 songs), Norfair (6 songs), Frigate Orpheon (6 songs), Lylat Cruise (11 songs), Castle Siege (12 songs), Fourside (6 songs), and Shadow Moses Island (9 songs). I just thought that I would post that here so that there would be something for people to do in this thread. You don't have to post the exact number of songs needed or give a reason. I just want a few suggestions.

What the hey? I'll take a crack at Fourside...

1. Earthbound
Game of Origin: Earthbound (SNES, 1995) / Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN, 2001)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl29TKZDh3c

The stage's theme from Melee is an obvious choice.

2. Snowman
Game of Origin: Mother (Famicom, 1989) / Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1Md2ODg-0M

3. You Call This a Utopia?
Game of Origin: Mother 3 (GBA, 2006) / Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EALKLj1mknM

These two themes from Brawl are also obvious choices, in my opinion.

4. Humoresque of a Little Dog
Game of Origin: Mother (Famicom, 1989) / Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTMqnfpX7zU

5. Mother 3 Love Theme
Game of Origin: Mother 3 (GBA, 2006) / Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5bu77m45kY

These two I like, as well. But you don't have to use them if you don't want to.

6. Moonside Swing
Game of Origin: Earthbound (SNES, 1995)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRxujy80HYs

This one seems really fitting for Fourside as an offbeat track and to rep the second game.

My suggestions for Shadow Moses Island

1. Theme of Love (Brawl version)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
The version of the MGS4 main theme which appeared in Brawl. No real reason to take it out. It's a fantastic track as it is.

2. Encounter (Btawl version)
Metal Gear Solid
Another masterful remix, and one of the most iconic themes in the series. Not sure I'd be comfortable with replacing it.

3. Frequency 140.85
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Slow in tempo but with a steady rhythm, this track hails from the direct sequel to the original Metal Gear. It's probably my favorite track in the game.

4. Infiltration I
Metal Gear Ghost Babel
The oft-forgotten Game Boy Color outing of the franchise didn't produce much of anything memorable, but I must admit this 8-bit track is catchier than one might expect. A good choice for serious brawls.

5. Skateboarding
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
The main theme of MGS2 was allegedly going to be in Brawl, and it really should have, as it's one of the absolute best pieces of music in the entire series. Sadly, legal factors seem to have prevented its use, but why not use the rock-based skateboarding remix from the same game? It's a catchy, upbeat remix and fits really well in Project M.

6. Red Alert
Metal Gear
Probably the most popular track from the original MSX2 game that started it all. I've provided a remix, since the original sounds pretty dated.

7. Snake Eater (Instrumental)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Why get rid of this track? It's smooth, it's classy, and it's one of the best themes in the series. Replace with the lyrical version if that's more up your alley. Personally, I like the slick licks of the disco-esque instrumental.

8. I'm My Own Master Now
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
I'm not very fond of Revengeance's soundtrack, to be honest. It's very popular, but I could never really get into it. This track, however, the boss theme of LQ-84i, is pretty neat. It has a nice mixture of hard rock guitar without synthetic lyrics and distortion effects, and I think it'd stand out well among the other tracks here.

9. Heavens Divide
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
I personally love "Calling to the Night" and think it was a genius music choice, but I'd also recommend "Heavens Divide" as a possible replacement. It serves the same sort of role, being a light, somber, ballad-like piece that at first would seem out of place in a fighting game. I think that it picks up and becomes a bit more intense and passionate than Calling to the Night, however, so it's probably a little better suited to a big brawl. Being a pretty popular theme to fans of the series, I'd give it a shot. I personally use both "Heavens Divide" and "Calling to the Night" in PM.

This is good, but I am trying to change as many songs as I can. I usually leave the main theme and one other. And sometimes for a large one I might leave another one.
EDIT: I also need help with Dracula's Castle (5 songs)

I will use the Hyrule Castle and Shadow Moses Island ones. I will also use the Earthbound theme and Moonside Swing for Fourside. I have already done almost five of the stages. The ones I need the most help on is the Star Fox and Metroid series stages.

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but if Swampasaur can't commit to this thread, then maybe he should pass it off to someone else until his schedule clears up.

Notes: Garden of Hope is a good way to start. It's the theme that plays in the Garden of Hope in Pikmin 3. It's popular, catchy and important to the game. Only problematic thing I see is that the song is kinda slow, then again, most Pikmin themes are. Tropical Wilds is a moderately popular piece. Actually upbeat too! Awakening Wood is another great pick. Popular, upbeat and important to the game! Perplexing Pool is another good choice. The Title theme medley worls well though I feel that each track can work well on its own. Eviromental Noises?!? ENVIROMENTAL NOISES?!?! *eye twitch* I despised that track... It's not even a track... Still, it's a decent choice for a returning track, though popularity may take a plunge. The Forest of Hope is another good choice for a past track. Even today, it's one of the most popular Pikmin tracks. The Panel de Pon tracks are interesting but... that's two medleys... Your limited to just one... Still a good list. Nice work!

Notes: Garden of Hope is good! Plasm Wraith is a good choice for a track. It's a very popular boss fight! As well as the final boss of Pikmin 3. Nice choice! Wistful Wilds is a nice choice as well, though I do feel that it feels a bit... dark for lack of a better term. Perplexing Pool is good. As is Forest of Hope. Ai no Uta is a NECESSITY. I feel that its one track that WILL be in the game. Just too popular to leave out. Great choice there. I did not see the Endless Ocean piece coming. I think it works pretty well. The Art Academy theme is a nice choice too. However, it is a handheld game. Still. Nice list! Wait! STAHP! I see your change. Stage Clear does make things better. Lucky I saw that. :p Next time just edit your post!

Notes: Garden of Hope is great! Mission Mode is a pick I expected! It's just too good of a track to pass up! Title Theme from Pikmin 3 is a good choice. Though I do feel that the ending fades away too much. Maybe a remix could help there. Perplexing Pool and Wistful Wilds are good tracks. Ai no Uta? Nuff said indeed. World Map (Pikmin 2) is a great choice for a past track. I really enjoy that choice! Plasm Wraith is another great pick. You really know your Pikmin!

Personally I think that's actually a composer from SSB would do. I approve immensely! Plasm Wraith is a great pick. As is World Map. Piklopedia is a very interesting choice... I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm going to have to go and say its a good choice. It's popular and important. Ai no Uta is a great choice! The Forest Navel is an odd pick... I do feel that it's a bit too dark for the Garden of Hope though... Overall nice list.

I love it. I think that this is a really good choice. Fits perfectly! Heck it sounds like Pikmin are singing at parts. Great job! I will say that the list does feel like it borrow a lot from Brawl but the other choices just seem to blend and you capture such a wide range of music that I feel its okay.

Ai No Uta is a good choice. S.S. Drake is a bit odd here. It's cool, but it just feels too... "spacey." I'm not sure how I feel about the NintendoLand version of The Impact Site. Forest of Hope fits the stage nicely too, as does Perplexing Pool. While both are good choices, I think one of the non-Pikmin songs could have been replaced by a Pikmin song such as a World Map or a title screen theme.

Excellent choices overall, you got good balance between the three game.
All your Pikmin 3 choices are very good and provide variety as well. They fit the stage and are iconic songs for the game as well.
World Map from Pikmin 2 is one of the most popular songs of the entire series and the Brawl remix sounds excellent. Wistful Wild and Perplexing Pool are good choices as well, being very atmospheric songs.
Ai no Uta is another excellent choice, being one of the most recognized songs of the series, especially in Japan.

Forest of Hope, Awakening Wood and Garden of Hope are good choices for this stage, as all of them fit the atmosphere of the stage.
From Pikmin 3, you also have Mission Mode and Plasm Wraith, both memorable songs without a doubt and provide more variety to your listing.

Piklopedia! I love that song and it's quite memorable for me. It is indeed calmer than most songs in the game, but fits the stage's atmosphere quite well, in my opinion. Forest Navel is an interesting song too.
Then, you have several iconic songs such as Ai no Uta, World Map from Pikmin 2, Garden of Hope and the Title theme from Pikmin 3. Boss themes are also good choices as they bring variety and fit the gameplay just fine.

Yellow Giant is an interesting choice. The song itself is... quite unique, if I do say so myself. A good choice that fits the stage quite nicely and gives some representation to one of Nintendo's smaller franchises.
On to the Pikmin songs: Great picks! Ai no Uta, World Map from Pikmin 2 and Garden of Hope are excellent choices for the stage, same for Awakening Wood and Forest of Hope. Stage Clear / Title from Brawl is a nice track too that fits the stage and gameplay nicely. For a more intense track, Plasm Wraith is a good choice from the latest game.

Creature Montage is a good choice as it fits the stage nicely, but I think you could've picked another, more iconic song from the series, such as Forest of Hope or the World Map theme from Pikmin 2.
