Animal Crossing has great music, so I'm looking forward to making a list for the new Smashville. It's unfortunate that a 3DS Animal Crossing stage hasn't been confirmed yet. I feel like New Leaf's contributions will provide the 3DS AC stage a better soundtrack.

Oh gosh I hope the grades come earlier this time! And please let it be Wily's Castle, Windy Hill or Good Egg Galaxy! I REALLY don't know crap about the soundtracks of console AC's, and New Leaf's soundtrack was stellar.

I'm just biding my time for Windy Hill. Sonic music is where I shine brightest, baby.

Sonic music is the best music ever, it's actually the #1 reason I didn't want Sonic to get cut, dat' Deadly Six Theme hnghhhhhh!

Sonic 06 has my favorite soundtrack in the series, with Adventure 2 at 2nd and Sonic 3 at 3rd. The Windy Hill round is going to be so hard because we're only allowed eight songs, and I'm planning on doing one song per Sonic game like Green Hill did in Brawl.

I'm actually looking forward to when we do the new Smashville. But I want to do the Galaxy stage so badly...........................................................

Both are gonna be hard as hell for me, I'm sure.

I just realised the possibility that Smashville could be the next round. Another franchise I'm unfamiliar with.

This is escalating fast...

Mario Galaxy? Yes, please. It's probably the easiest stage for me besides...

You know you want to...

Hm, this leaves me to ask a question regarding third party stages.

Are we going to be allowed to break the 8 song limit for them? Since these stages are a special case, I'd imagine that we'd at the very least be allowed 10 (Like Green Hill Zone in Brawl, right?). Would make picking songs from such large and beloved franchises much easier.

This. Not only this, but music is actually loved and regarded alot for franchises such as Mega Man and (esPEcially) Sonic, even within the bad/unmemorable games. Just look back to Mega Man 8 and Sonic '06. A lot of people unappreciate/hated them, but they can't argue that the music was still good.

I think it would be a good special case to allow an extra slot or two for the Windy Hill or the Wily Castle stages.

I totally agree with this.

Sonic and Mega Man are only going to get one stage, therefore I think that we should have a 10 song limit. It's especially hard to do an 8 song limit for Sonic since there are many good stage tracks and vocal tracks to choose from.

Going to be devil's advocate here... it wouldn't be fair to the other stages if we gave Wily's Castle and Windy Hill special treatment. :p

Besides, we're very likely to get a Mega Man and Sonic stage on the 3DS as well. Plus Green Hill Zone can return as a Past Stage.

It doesn't help your argument that Brawl had done this for Green Hill Zone and Shadow Moses Island anyways.

The eight song limit is fine for Nintendo franchise stages since there'll be more than one stage. (We've already seen three Zelda stages and two Mario stages). However, we're only going to get one stage for the third-party franchises, and as someone else said, those two franchises have some of gaming's greatest soundtracks. Just imagine how harder it would be if there was a Final Fantasy stage we had to pick music for as well.

Except there are Nintendo franchises that only get one stage as well.

I doubt we'll get more than one FE stage per version, for example, but there's a load of great FE music that could go on that stage. Is it really "fair" to other franchises that will only get one stage per game?

I can see the validity in the argument for allowing Windy Hill and Wily's Castle to have more tracks, since there is precedent to suggest the likelihood of this actually happening. As stated before, Green Hill and Shadow Moses each had a lot more music tracks than the other stages in Brawl.

Edit: Posted too soon. I should also add that there's a reason not to allow this as well. Do you guys really want to wait even longer to get your grades back?

And hope you're not still mad about the incident in that other topic.
Dude...

I wasn't mad.

Just trying to stop a fight.

Okay.... in that case.... I actually have a question related to the contest. Shocking, I know! :p

We've seen two different layouts for Smashville, one of the Town and one of the City. When we do Smashville, are we counting both as the same stage that shares a tracklist, like Mushroomy Kingdom in Brawl?

While we wait for the other judges to complete their grades, I decided to throw my list together for Arena Ferox. Obviously since I'm not competing, I can splurge a little. Ideally I'd like to see Arena Ferox get the same number of tracks as Castle Siege, especially if Arena Ferox winds up being the only new Fire Emblem stage for the 3DS version.

Fire Emblem: Awakening - Duty
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Rival
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Conquest
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Id ~ Purpose
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Mastermind
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Old Battlefield (Credits)
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon - Strike! ~ Clash of Two Virtues
Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem - Vs. Dark Emperor Hardin
Fire Emblem - Main Theme (Brawl)
Fire Emblem: Binding Blade - Winning Road (Roy's Hope) (Brawl)
Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones - Preparing to Advance (Brawl)
Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword - Fire Emblem (Melee)

So, everyone have a good Thanksgiving (those who celebrate it anyhow)?

It was actually pretty good for me and the night before, I finally got to 50 hours of brawls and unlocked the last CD I needed! :) Hopefully the music tracks in Smash 4 won't be as difficult to unlock.

I had a good Thanksgiving.

Congrats! I remember getting that CD, and the Trophy for playing over 100 hours, was a pain to get. But hey, I did it anyway to unlock every single thing in the game. That and the CD was worth getting just to listen to one of my favorite video game songs.

I also had a good Thanksgiving. Watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with my siblings, had a sweet dinner, and then finished by watching Miracle on 34th Street.

Also watched my sister beat Chrono Trigger for the first time last night. Does my heart good to see the birth of a new gamer. ;_;

Thanksgiving was great for me too. I had a wonderful dinner, watched Macy's parade (most of it, recorded and saved the rest for later) ate Pumpkin Pie and watched "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving". Classic Peanuts special, it's the only holiday special we ALWAYS make sure we watch every year.

For my thanksgiving, we went out because my grandma's in a nursing home, and we ate at this fancy restaurant until there was nobody else in the building, I watched most of the parade, I missed an hour or so because I slept in and my little brother refused to get off Mario Kart Wii, but all was good when we got pumpkin pie and watched Big Bang Theory. We may not have a "normal" thanksgiving, but it was still a great one.

Yeah, I'd assume the grading would be significantly harder with the boards crashing at random for who knows how long.

I'm a judge in Fortanono's Roster Contest so I'm having trouble with grading as well.
