Smash balls will make smash much MORE balanced.

There's a 50-50% chance of it appearing near you. There's a 50-50% chance of you BREAKING it, since stronger character break it with less hits compared to weaker characters. Metaknight's final smash sucks. It could be used to lure opponent's, so character's with multiple jumps or good mobility won't break it easily. Metaknight's final smash sucks. Every character will have a shot at winning. It'll make brawl a lot more funner.. Every other competitive game allows "power-ups". Metaknight's final smash sucks. Brawl's going in such a boring direction.. the more you play it, the more boring it gets. People will actually enjoy spectating a match, especially when that smash ball comes out. If it's set to low, it won't make as much of a influence to the overall metagame.. And most importantly...

Not really... You can dodge it without really trying, the only real hazard is Olimar and Snake.

The Smash Ball appears and stays near the player that is currently losing. It also takes that player fewer hits to break the Smash Ball. It also appears every 30-40 seconds if it's the only item you have on, even when items are set to low. People have already experimented with Smash Ball tournaments. It doesn't work out.
