As Guybrush said, HarmoKnight is to be removed for the same reason that Drill Dozer is; GameFreak is difficult to work with, and if Pokémon is a hassle to Sakurai, a much more minor franchise is going to be an even bigger one to the point that it's not worth it.

Even though I own the Tempo thread, I think he's gonna be removed, I don't think he's worth getting Gamefreak over. Especially when a Rhythm Heaven character is the better suggestion.

...How about disconfirmed realistic characters? No offense to your list Guybrush, but anybody who thought some of those characters were going to get in(more specifically Wii Balance Board, Xerneas, Lubba etc...) were delusional.

Of the quote-unquote realistic ones the only three (maybe 4) so far are Balloon Fighter (and by proxy his daughter Alice), Mushroom Retainer and Skull Kid. Of them, Only Toad was on our current lists as BF was deconfrimed a while back and we cut out Skull Kid.

I started a Xerneas thread a while back for the hell of it but yeah. I don't think he'd fit in the Smash Cast.

In regards to the toad, it may not be the most realistic possibility, but, since there are multiple red-capped, blue-jacketed toads, and there is precedent for said toads to be in different roles (background of Adventure mode's Mushroom Kingdom where you fight the Yoshis and Peach's neutral special is one obvious example), I argue that it is possible for a red-capped, blue-jacketed toad to be both a meat-shield and a playable character. (I do think it's more likely for us to get the blue Toad, but I don't think it's an outright "never happening now" deconfirmation on the other Toad.)

Yeah that seems suspicious, though I wouldn't count on a playable, since Sakurai decided to stick the AT role to Nintendog still.

I could do that, but only for characters on the chart already. I mean I really don't want to create a roster slot for all of the Pokéball Pokémon, but I'd consider it for some assist trophies not on the chart I guess.

not trying to start anything, but if you want to be technical, NO CHARACTERS are officially Deconfirmed. This is Smash after all; many things don't make sense (Example: how there can be 4 Marios all in one universe fighting each other).

There could always be a character added.

No one is OFFICIALLY out of the question until Sakurai SAYS they won't happen.

Now, Sakurai may have said Sukapon won't be in long ago, but he changed his mind on Villager, so Sukapon isn't deconfirmed either.

Except for Skull Kid. There is no doubting he is disconfirmed.

Sakurai saw him as suitable for the role of an Assist Trophy, nothing more. If he is an Assist Trophy, then that is all he is going to be.
