I think they speak for themselves.
Though I never got this, what's with the terrible Sonic games having decent music? It's like the one thing they ever get right.
Well, your mileage may vary. I haven't been a fan of the music since 06 myself. Coincidentally, I happen to enjoy those games that have good music. Lost World is one of the few exceptions. Basically, terrible is subjective, unless you meant "general meta score", then it really is hard to say. Adventure 2 did fairly well and had great music anyway. That could be reasonably applicable to Shadow and 06 as an idea, though.

And here's the real sore thing about Sonic 2006. It didn't have to be that bad. It actually could have been OK.

Sega had no clue how to make games for the 360 or PS3, couldn't get 2006 running on Wii so they turned Sonic 2006 Wii into Sonic and the Secret Rings instead, STILL couldn't figure out how to work out the 360 or PS3, and instead of delaying the whole thing until they could learn the ropes, they rushed it so that it could launch in time for the holiday season, Sonic's 15th Anniversary, and the PS3 launch.

When they first showed the game off, we were actually pretty excited for it. We liked what we saw and couldn't wait to get our hands on it. If SEGA had JUST taken their time, it might have actually been an OK Sonic game. It had great music, the story, Elise/Sonic aside, wasn't bad, and there were some interesting ideas that could have been good had they been finished/polished up.

And this brings me to Sonic Boom... they need to be sure to take their time and polish it up instead of rush it to meet the holiday season/launch of the TV show, because... well... I experienced 2006. If the guys at Big Red Button and all they're Cry Engine 3 on Wii U ambitiousness aren't careful... this could turn out bad.

Dude, nintendo should totally buy out some of capcom's games, like Okami and maybe Ace Attorney.

oh yeah, and megaman.
Welcome to the discussion. How may I take your order :)

I'm referring to review scores in general (so stuff like Sonic Labyrinth or Shuffle is what I'm getting at).
Also to be a bit clear I didn't say "superior" music or it's only the bad ones that have good music. I'm just saying Sega always has this thing with Sonic to keep the music decent, regardless of the quality of the actual titles.

Honestly, I doubt that Nintendo will rescue Capcom. Even if that did happen, the only other Capcom rep I would be fine with is Felicia.

Ah. I misunderstood what you meant. Some are definitely better than others, but I can't think of a Sonic game that actually had bad music, outside of badly porting the music itself onto a handheld if it's a previous game(or something like that).

They'd have to cut a lot of characters...
smash 6 all newcomers are from capcom XD

Just look at these potential newcomers!

Phoenix Wright
Viewtiful Joe
Dante
Zero
Amaterasu
Arthur

HOLY CRAP all of those guys would be AWESOME

A few friends and I were debating on why a Jump Warriors (Samurai Warriors game with Weekly Shonen Jump characters) wouldn't work due to engine issues. Then I've came up with a brilliant idea for Tecmo Koei to do:

Chinyuki Warriors where you defeat waves of soldiers with handslaps, headbutts, and farts. Rated M for nudity, crude humor, language, blood and gore, and graphic violence. :troll:

But don't forget, Guile's theme goes with everything... it even goes with Jigglypuff getting in a fight with Nemesis.

If Capcom became second party to Nintendo.

Ryu, Chun Li, Ken, Amaterasu, Viewtiful Joe, Arthur, Phoenix Wright, Tron Bonne, Zero, and a Monster Hunter rep would be really the only Capcom reps I'd accept.

And for the love of god please no RE reps. Snake didn't work out because of his real weaponry, let's not even try them.

Pretty much all we need anyways.

(except maybe a second Okami character, and another Phoenix Wright characters down the line.)

HEY!!!!!
I'm not the only one who thinks this. Go talk with HotFeet and see what he thinks
....

alrighty then.

@Hotfeet444 If nintendo buys out capcom, is Felecia the ONLY extra capcom character you would want?

cause I doubt that would be a realistic posibility

Chun Li vs Samus though.

That'd be the epic ''We helped pave the way for you Lara Croft. Respect us" fight that would give me all kinds of nerdgasms to finally make happen.

Makes me wonder who the second Sonic rep would be if Nintendo bought SEGA between now and Smash 5's release. Only ones I can see are Tails and Knuckles based on Shadow getting the AT position twice. There's also Blaze and Amy, but not much to debate.

Honestly, I think Nintendo will buy SEGA by then, but I honestly think Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow will be in by then.

I don't think Sakurai would give Sonic five reps.
Two can work, three is pushing it, but five is unrealistic.

Shadow's never going to be playable in Smash Brothers.

His importance to the main line of games is dwindling. He had flash in the pan popularity at most. He's better off as an assist trophy.
