MorbidIncompetence. Why didn't you just omit that part when you quoted me then...?
I do not like altering the post that I quote (as they are not my words). I only do it for joke purposes (which is very rare). Why didn't you just omit that part when you quoted me then...?
I am still somewhat confused as to which you were agreeing with.I do not like altering the post that I quote. I only do it for joke purposes (which is very rare).
Unfortunately, I am much less bound by principles than you seem to be. >8DHerp a derp
Fine.I was thinking more like Portal. Not in terms of actual gameplay, but in terms of the innovative gameplay and unique atmosphere.
Though I can't picture Miyamoto making a game without cute characters, and I can't think of a shooting game with cute characters.
edit: Scratch that. ClapTrap.
No, I meant I don't know what you meant by saying "this". This to what?Fine.
"This" to everything that was not crossed out. People say, "this" when they post is reminiscent of their thoughts verbatim. No, I meant I don't know what you meant by saying "this". This to what?
Oh. Well, "my thoughts exactly" would have worked better, though I would have been confused regardless as I was referring to a hypothetical game."This" to everything that was not crossed out. People say, "this" when they post is reminiscent of their thoughts verbatim.
This is why I rarely use "this" without elaboration. I just mean that I do not expect something that is already done; I expect something innovative and different, such as Portal. Portal is quite literally the best example for what I expect out of Miyamoto's new IP. Something "revolutionary" to the genre. A fresh perspective.Oh. Alright, then yes, your application of "this" was absolutely correct. I do agree with that, it is what I meant. This is why I rarely use "this" without elaboration. Sakurai said there will be a story mode, but it's not the subspace emmisary. What story mode?
He said there won't be a mode like the Subspace Emissary. That could mean anything. He basically said there won't be the awesome cutscenes from SSE. What's the point of a story mode without the awesome cutscenes?Sakurai said there will be a story mode, but it's not the subspace emmisary.
I have noticed to an extent; however, I do not use apostrophes to indicate omission. It is so very unprofessional.Alright, then yes, your application of "this" was absolutely correct. I do agree with that, it is what I meant.
Have you noticed I type like you when you're present?
"You are"? I did that on purpose.I have noticed to an extent; however, I do not use apostrophes to indicate omission. It is so very unprofessional.
Simple, one where cutscenes don't clog up most of the memory. He said there won't be a mode like the Subspace Emissary. That could mean anything. He basically said there won't be the awesome cutscenes from SSE. What's the point of a story mode without the awesome cutscenes?
But what is the point of a story mode if there are no cutscenes?Simple, one where cutscenes don't clog up most of the memory.
A single-player experience that is not the same as versus mode, I suppose. But what is the point of a story mode if there are no cutscenes?
Never mind take up 70% of the development time(well, not all of it was cutscenes, the rest was SSE in itself, but still). Not worth it overall.Simple, one where cutscenes don't clog up most of the memory.
Well, there's always gameplay. You know, the reason you go through it in the first place. But what is the point of a story mode if there are no cutscenes?

HF pretty much said what I was going to say.A single-player experience that is not the same as versus mode, I suppose.

The meat of the game is in the multiplayer anyway. And the lack of unique mini-games really hurt Brawl, as it felt like they removed too much for a single mode(the SSE itself was hardly bad, but it didn't feel like a great replacement for Adventure Mode, especially since we lost Race to the Finish and Trophy Grab for it. ).
I think the Sonic Adventure games(and possibly Heroes) did that too. Shadow the Hedgehog used its own unique cutscenes(and they looked glorious~).Pre-rendered cutscenes did take up a lot of space.
Zelda-like cutscenes (like those in OOT), where the models are animated in real time instead of the whole thing being pre-rendered, are a possible replacement, though they can't possibly reach the quality level of a pre-rendered one. I hope you understand what I'm getting at.
Heroes only did that half the time or so, cutscenes before team fights were fully animatedI think the Sonic Adventure games(and possibly Heroes) did that too. Shadow the Hedgehog used its own unique cutscenes(and they looked glorious~).
what about sonic 06I think the Sonic Adventure games(and possibly Heroes) did that too. Shadow the Hedgehog used its own unique cutscenes(and they looked glorious~).
What about Sonic 06?what about sonic 06
06 I can't tell. I think it used pre-rendered. I was talking about the Dreamcast Saga, though. In fact, I think Shadow and every game after that(console-wise with maybe a few exceptions) generally used pre-rendered cutscenes.what about sonic 06
What about Sonic 06?What about Sonic 06?
Good reply lol im saying that 06's cgi scenes were better then the game it selfWhat about Sonic 06?
What? About Sonic 06...What about Sonic 06?
Isn't it "no use"? Should one "take this"?What about Sonic 06?
It's no use? Or it's no use?Isn't it "no use"? Should one "take this"?
What is "it"? And why does "it" have no use? It's no use? Or it's no use?
