My fate is in your hands smash brethren. I want to buy a virtual console JRPG on my Wii U Virtual Console.

Should I buy Earthbound or Golden Sun?

If you MUST choose though, I'd go with Golden Sun. It's just a fantastic game, with amazing music and great story that turns into an epic when you play Parts I & II.

Can't go wrong with it.

Yoshi is a character I've been gravitating towards as of late. He doesn't feel particularly weak or slow, probably was made that way to compensate for a poor recovery (except in Brawl, apparently). Zelda's another character I'm rather fond of using.

For Earthbound vs. Golden Sun, I'd go for GS. I've played through GS, liked it. I'm currently playing EB, haven't been wowed. IMO, I found it quirky but not really funny. But that's just imo, so grain of salt.

Don't kill me.

The thing with Golden Sun is that it's a completely pointless game to play if you aren't going to immediately thereafter play the sequel since Golden Sun is really only half a game and the sequel is basically the second half. It's overall really good, but seriously you're just going to end unsatisfied with it if you finish half the game and then just stop. The Lost Age does not seem to be on the Wii U VC yet so I'd suggest playing EarthBound, a complete game, now and wait until The Lost Age hits the VC and then play Golden Sun in complete form at that time.

Also, recently, when making some comparison research between Super Smash Bros. Brawl & Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion and made a discovery. In Brawl, when you use the C-Stick while running, only up will produce a Smash move while left, right, & down will produce a dash attack. In Cartoon Network however, ALL directions will produce a Smash move. So you can run then instantly a forward Smash facing the OPPOSITE direction.

I'm no competitive expert but would this be a useful thing in Smash?

I imagine this would be useful, it would be similar to how the c-stick can be used to do a bair while moving forward, that kind of thing, it could be possibly incorporated into dashdance mind games maybe (if dashdancing returns), just throwing out ideas.

They kept teasing a monster fight was going to happen but then cut to the humans and then showed the aftermath of the fight instead

If they wanted to focus on the humans, the father character and Ken Watanabe's character were MUCH more interesting than the soldier they followed

I'd rather have Dash Canceling come back instead. Would be more useful overall, as it not only allow the Smashes to be done but tilts and jabs as well.

No, just a ****ty one that got some facts wrong. Mostly saying the show was a bout Li instead of Sakura.

But the facts about the dubbing done by Nelvana is true. Things were totally censored horridly, like how Disney is messing with Doreamon (spelling?) an how Sailor Moon was messed up by DiC. :/

Then again, I watched it in Canada and it wasn't as messed up as i'm reading down here. Mostly cus it was the States that screwed it up the most.
