Pretty much how I am, to some extent.

I have no problem with getting to know people, and in fact, there are quite a few people I have talked to on the forums that I know I like already. Just when it comes to more personal things, I don't like forcing it. If I'm meant to become a big part of someone's life, I will, if not, I won't.

And generally, I'll only discuss personal things in a public topic if the topic itself asks for it and it's relevant to me, or if I can get involved in a conversation by providing some anecdotal advice.

Well, I've never shared my actual name until now (the current year). I mean, previously, I used psuedonyms and all that from 2010 until 2012, since no one really asked me about the thing, so I quietly gave up on the idea in the latter year.

What was really weird though is when I met those people, we knew each other's real names, yet still called each other by our usernames. It was so weird being called "BluePsychic" IRL by someone other than myself.

When I'm on forums, I tend to be a lot more brash. I'm actually a lot more mellow and shy in real life. It probably has to with how I have a lot more confidence talking about my opinions and hobbies, where in real life I'm often alienated because of it.

I'm mostly the same, except IRL I'm more paranoid about being alienated due to my hobbies due to having that happen in the past, so I just avoid talking about them altogether.

See, I'm usually more open on forums that I got comfortable with (I'm more shy at first). I'm fine with answering questions that's just about anything.

The problem is, I am kind of a kinky person (which is really weird if you know my preferences), and I restrain myself from making comments or jokes that are too erotic/explicit (because they are kids here, plus I don't wanna get into trouble) OR I'd like to make a joke about a person, but I usually refrain because I'm too afraid that I'll hurt them. DON'T LAUGH I'M VERY SELF-CAUTIOUS!

An effective work-around to this issue would be to mask your kinks in fun and colourful euphemisms. 8D

Oh god, I know that feeling during high school. I was practically traumatized by the other students for seeing me as a freak, causing me to take therapy and medication so I didn't kill someone or myself. Since then I've tried avoiding discussions just for the sake of not repeating past mistakes.

Yeah, I'm aware if your yaoi (to a lesser extent yuri) shenanigans. Though ironically you don't actually try to be explicit with it, just liking the concept of a homosexual pairing being cute or using it as a tongue-in-cheek joke. I do play along with you, and you've played along with me, and it's all rainbows and unicorns overall.
