The worst one I'd say, would be the bonus structure in Domino's.
As expected, to keep the labour costs down, you keep the smallest amount of staff on, right? Well, Domino's takes this to the extreme. If you're not 100% necessary for even a second, you're sent home and not brought back in for the rest of the shift.
I was privy to the emails that managers sent between each other and the way they talked about employees was horrific.
For example, one "campaign" run by Domino's for a while was that if our store got more than a certain amount of sales (I think our store's target was $20k in one week), the manager would get £2000 and a Rolex. The term and conditions of this, was that the manager was NOT allowed to reward their employees in any way, if any of them even knew about it.
Also, if the store passed the bi-annual inspection, the manager got £500. 90% of the times, the managers would not reward the employees unless the reward scheme specifically stated that they had to.
