What the hell makes you think I was posting the gif just for laughs?
All I'm trying to say is you post the "what" gif too often. It's annoying. Some people post intense lengthy debates or posts or whatever and then there's you just dropping what.gif on everybody. Nobody likes it. Not trying to be mean or anything, just some friendly advice.

I played uprising until I beat it

and I felt no reason to actually play through the game again.

For a while I grinded for hearts but it got boring fast

So, decided to try SSF2 for once.
Once you get past the slightly awkward keyboard controls, it's actually more fun than I thought it would be. My recently obtained main Wario was changed a bit - side-special was changed to be slightly less useful, his down-air also became less useful though still somewhat useful however I'm fine with it as long as his down-throw stays ridiculously powerful like it is atm.

I'd be torn between Kid Icarus: Uprising and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Both great games and must-haves for 3DS.

So I'm putting in more money to my shop account for 3DS, and I have 3 games in mind, but can only buy 1, so in your guys' opinion, which should I buy?

Fire Emblem: Awakening, Kid Icarus: Uprising, or Kirby Triple Deluxe?
I own Awakening and Uprising, so between the two, I would say Uprising. Lot of content, fantastic online multiplayer and just a great game in general.

So there is this 4chan leak going around, and while I won't say anything about it being legitimate, it effectively presents the most obscure but interesting character I've seen suggested for Smash in any form.

That yellow kangaroo it talks about is the mascot for this old "Mini Game" series Nintendo had when they manufactured toys.

That'd be an awesome character addition, IMO, and would have a lot of moveset potential. Also, they'd be incredibly appropriate, considering Amiibo.
Let's see what Captain Falcon has to say about "leaks" of ANY sort ;)

It's a lot easier to go wrong with Uprising. Personally, while I have beaten the game twice over, I hate the controls.

Go with Awakening.

I'n sorry but there are no changes in the story and nothing you can really do to effect the game in any way other than to grind to get better weapons

That doesn't say "replayability" to me

You've got like 700 challenges to go for, as well as an endlessly replayable online mode.

It's just as replayable as any Smash game (which is to be expected).

Eh. I thought it was okay.
Wasn't exactly the best 3DS game out there. But it had it's moments.

If you're into multiplayer, that game has a lot of replay value.

It's just like Smash Bros. in that regard.

That leak. Let's analyze it.
  • Starts with "I work at [official place], but not for long!" line.
  • Tries to validate workplace.
  • A bunch of expected/very wanted characters with an incredibly obscure one thrown in.
  • Info bouncing off previous information (the trophy thing).
You, too, can write a leak if you follow this formula.
I'll try this.

OKAY, GUYS! I work behind the main desk at the Sega of America. (but not for long, this coworker named Cheryl doesn't like me and has bee telling lies and making me look bad.) I was handed some copyright papers from Nintendo to make sure Sonic would stay. I read over the papers very carefully and I saw all of the newcomers. The newcomers were:
  • King K. Rool
  • Lip
  • Ridley
  • Takamaru (Today's PotD was meant to throw off his supporters.
  • Bandana Dee
  • Shulk
  • Sukapon
  • Issac
you won't believe this next one:

  • Bayonetta

Her moveset comes from her new game. The moveset consists of her changing to outfits of other Nintendo characters. She's a everyone clone. Trust me, some of the SEGA staff went around on a tour.

Ah yes. The "Stomp of Death" as I call it.
I swear, during it's few frames you can see the face of Death.

Kid Icarus Uprising has awful controls. It hurts my hand to play for more than an hour. Still a good game, but Awakening = God tier.

Because 1. They're just going flat out insane, or B. They're tryin to bomb me with biased reasoning that just doesn't make sense. Think how you'd feel if someone tried to bomb you saying "Zelda Comics are a stain upon Aonuma's honor."

What put me off the most was the whole street pass weapon trade thing

Since you don't actually loose your weapons I always put up one of my stronger weapons, sin the least so someone could combine it with something

But everyone else put up level 1 weapons

Pissed me off

Online multiplayer says replayability to me. I still play it. And the game has been out for 2 years.

Being intentionally vague? :awesome:

The controls aren't bad once you get used to them. Kinda like W101 in that aspect. I mean. Get whatever you want @ Superyoshiom Superyoshiom but I'd pick Kid Icarus.

Just an FYI, I didn't post that leak because I thought it was real, because I don't, more to see what people thought of the roster it put forward (specifically, Mini Kangaroo).

You're talking to someone who exposed tons of flaws with the Gematsu leak all through it's life cycle, and never once believed it. No need to use this random 4chan leak to show us that you are an Ace Attorney and Investigator.

I found it really uncomfortable to play. I actually played through the game using the original DS thumb strap. It was far more comfortable than the stylus IMO, but it was still uncomfortable none-the-less.

I'll just say that I still play Awakening and I can't get back into Uprising.

So I've finally come to a consensus about what to use my shop credit on. I took your guys' advice, and I decided to buy a game from a series I've never touched. I already played Sacred Stones and a multitude of Kirby games, so Imma get Kid Icarus.

Too bad I spoiled the entire game. Oh well, that hasn't stopped me from purchasing before!

I'd just ignore it. Never take things too personal, bud.

Different controls or controls that take getting used to =/= Bad controls. People not wanting to get used to different controls is why CoD is more popular than Killzone, even though Killzone is a much more interesting game to play.

I wouldn't buy Fire Emblem Awakening unless you

A) only care about a few units in the game
B) have enough money for the DLC

I like to play Awakening on Casual and use units I don't like as bait to occupy the random enemies so my best units can go and kill the commander without lots of opposition. Top level tactician right here.

I'm playing casual so I let units die all the time
Filthy casual. :smirk:

I remember resetting Radiant Dawn so many times to ensure everyone made it alive in every mission. Pretty challenging.

Of course, I went with Classic for Awakening. And there was restarting too.

My units are powerful enough from grinding I can just send 1 unit in the middle of combat and anything that attacks them are killed without dealing damage

My younger sister likes Awakening. She says it's addicting and likes the support/marriage system.

I recently bought Shadow Dragon. I should get her to play that game bwahaha! And yeah, whatever FE game I play, I try not to let units die. And if one does, THEN I RESET... unless it's a crappy unit. But if said crappy unit is good looking, then I reset. :B
