I can't say I like the direction the Sonic franchise is going. The characters mostly look like they are from a silly kid's show. Kind of run-of-the-mill. The designs aren't bad, but they don't really look too interesting and don't look Sonic-y at all.

They should probably have experimented with the large backlog of forgotten Sonic characters instead.

To be fair, they did say their target audience was young kids. So it does make sense.

I can see the issue, most people said that the first thing that comes to mind was Disney with these guys. That's right, Disney is to blame for making their animation so plagiarized and it could explain why The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was on Toon Disney.

I was really hoping they would at least involve the already existing characters from the franchise like Team Chaotix and Shadow. A Nack appearance in 3D would be a dream come true for me and @thethirdkoopa. Making them feel more like Sonic characters like how things went for SATAM and Sonic Underground would have been a better direction for them.

In my opinion, these new characters are more interesting than a lot of already existing Sonic characters, but that's an opinion based solely on design from my viewpoint.

And I don't see why looking like they're from a kid's show is a problem for them not fitting in, considering Sonic has had quite a number of those throughout the years.

Plus, I mean... It kinda IS a kid's show with a tie-in game.

I guess it all boils down to personal taste. I think part of the reason why I don't think they fit in, is that almost none of them have that build most previous Sonic characters have, and *ahem* most of them wear clothes. (though understandable given the art direction taken in Sonic Boom.)

Yes, this is the same guy who asks people to watch his replays and give him advice on how to play even though he plays at a higher level than 99% of his followers and knows how things like the trajectory angle of one move could change the dynamic of a whole match-up. Like, this guy knows more engine and property data than just about anyone on top of that.

He's called "the robot" for a reason lol.

But I can't help but feel he is on the decline now. There's his hand problems but there is also how he seems to be adapting to the new top level play that is going on in Melee, and Project M as well, though it doesn't seem to be quite as bad as in Melee, and he seems unable or unwilling to adapt to it.

M2K was NOT hating on Project M. He started out by saying he liked it. Sounded more like he was frustrated with the players, and the constant patches and nerfs that were happening because of them. I think I've liked PM less and less as it has gotten more patches.

Yeah, no he is not. Funnily enough he starts off with "can you stop making threads when you guys don't know what you're talking about or quoting things out of context?

He seems pretty angry to me. "Hating on Project M" was just an exaggeration on my part. Not literally hating it but more like he has a problem with it and deals with it in an angry tone imo. He more so has a problem with the developers of it. The tone of the post seems pretty mad to me. Sure he can say he loves it but its not like he can't be angry with it too. Anyways the top post is what M2K was saying but without being angry. I guess thats the most literal way of saying it.

Eh.... thats kinda cool I guess. I don't know how good he'll be compared to top Smash 4 players if all he does is stream it. But then again he's M2K he's already the best at that game. lol

Knuckles be benching at the gym and i'm like ew at lease and only character design i like is tails for sonic boom and hearing how much they tooken away from the sonic characters kinda made me feel they alienated the characters

Say hello to the newest members of the Sonic Boom cast. It appears that most of them will appear in the games while several will also appear in the TV Show (Perci, Salty, ect.). I'm loving Perci since she has the most potential of being an interesting character.

The point seems to be that the athletic tape is rather arbitrary. It's on the outside of Sonic's shoes and gloves, for instance. Makes no sense for athletic tape to be found there.

Also, congratulations on making it into Sonic Boom, Cliff.

Yes, yes. Rebellion was pretty good I don't care what anyone else says...besides the ending leaving the desire for a sequel, but still pretty good.

I sure hope they don't continue it at this point. Ambiguous endings are the best kind.

The two hippos look like Tropical Freeze rejects.

Hayward looks like a fan-made redesign of someone who would have been in the Sonic cartoon (the good one, not the one with Erkle voicing Sonic).

Quincy looks like......... something, but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe something out of an indie game? I'm not sure. But it definitley looks like something.

Perci looks like an OC love interest for Sonic.

And everyone else looks like a Disney character. Especially Mayor Fink.
