Even his specials have different properties. His Blaster can hurt opponents close-range with the claw, his Side B goes at an angle, his Up B is a multi-hit I'm pretty sure.

Even his moves that seem similar are different from Fox's and Falco's.

And we already have a potential of four cuts, those cuts being Squirtle, Ivysaur, Snake (maybe), and Lucas (being considered).
Believe me, i do understand the differences. I'm not saying they should cut Wolf, I just feel like they will likely cut Wolf, or would likely cut him if they were to add Krystal. I love how Wolf plays and understand how it is different from Fox/Falco's, i'm just saying in the case where they do cut him, because I feel it's unfortunately likely.

Why would they cut Wolf for Krystal? Wolf beat Krystal in her prime back during Brawl.

I feel as though Wolf's omission is just as probable as the cuts of Toon Link, Lucario, and Ike.

Well, personally, I doubt that Wolf is cut, especially for Krystal, who saw her heyday pass her by with nothing but a cameo on Lylat Cruise. I feel that if Krystal isn't in Star Fox U, she'll miss the next game too, potentially.

I do think Lucas could be, but even then, he'll probably be one of the first DLC characters if he is.

@ScatsmansWorld25 If they could have both of them, that'd be great. I feel like Krystal would be good since she is memorable/iconic, popular, and a girl (and they're making more female characters).

@ Morbi Morbi Idk, I feel like those three are less similar to whom they'd presumably be similar to than Wolf is. In Toon Links case, that's not the case, but he's just like a young link and they might feel obligated to have him considering the 2 popular LOZ styles (or for whatever reason they've got both). I think Ike just fights different in a few ways, like Wolf (but slightly more), and is just more popular overall. And for Lucario, I don't know why they're keeping him. He's popular I guess, and definitely fights more differently than most of the other characters, but yeah, I don't know why they're just keeping him.

@ TheFirstPoppyBro TheFirstPoppyBro I feel like Lucas will be cut too.

Well you know what they say.
If it doesn't work, try try again. You'll be bound to get it sometime. They have a name for it, but I can't seem to remember.

Krystal is not more iconic than Wolf. At least Wolf has been around since the series' beginning. And I'm pretty sure that even during her heyday, if she wasn't beaten by Wolf, she certainly is now. And adding a character for the sole reason of that character being a girl is a bad reason. That's not why characters are chosen.

And Ike is practically the opposite of Marth. How is he only somewhat different like Wolf? The two share one move.

Is there any evidence that would allude to Wolf's omission? Anything objective? The "Star Fox is dormant" argument is no longer applicable (as though it ever was) and the clone argument (which is not applicable to Wolf) does not really influence Sakurai's decision either. Is it just a "feeling" on your part?

From Fire Emblem (though they've got enough at this point - and should've had Marth replaced instead): 4. Zelgius (normal armor & black knight armor) 5. Lyn (though Hector would be cool, but that's too many bright blue haired dudes). PS: I like the idea of having Sothe or Soren too, but, these characters are just more iconic.
Forgot to mention.

Lyn is an Assist Trophy, and if the Gematsu leak is correct, than all you're getting is Chrom.

Good point... but don't get pissy about it, please.

:p I was only saying those are solid reasons why I think they would add Krystal. And, I don't feel like Ike is necessarily that similar to Marth, I was only saying that because that's how MorbidAltruism feels. Those are just my opinions.

You do understand that he was not being "pissy" about it. That was the way you interpreted the post, I highly doubt that was the intention either, but of course, I could have perceived it differently. Unless he stated, "I am being pissy about this" you have only your presumptions. Those should not be treated as objective fact under any circumstance as that would be fallacious.

I... wasn't getting pissy.

And I honestly don't think those are solid reasons at all, as I've said.

I only feel like there's a possibility they cut Wolf, and/or add Krystal for reasons I've already stated. I just don't think they'd just keep the 3 Star Fox characters from last game, AND not add any. It's just my opinion...

Okay, I apologize, I must have misinterpreted what you said, feeling like you were giving me attitude because I wasn't agreeing with you. Though, I was wrong.

The opinion is counter-intuitive, no offense. If they would not keep 3 Star Fox characters from the last game, why would they add a new one? It is not about the number, it is about that quality? In that event, why not Falco? Because he was in Melee? However, Wolf is also a veteran, so the same reasoning could be applied to that notion as well. The sentiment is completely arbitrary. It is much more simple to develop the character that is more prominent that has already accrued a Smash fan-base than introduce a new character at the cost of another character.

Honestly, I think you're wrong on that, and that my point has been elaborated enough. Since they're bound to add more characters (as we know), and cut some/a few characters (as we know), it's just my opinion that they'd add Krystal and she would be a good choice from the SF series, whether or not they keep Wolf. It's not necessary to debate on that anymore, as we've both stated our opinions and clarified our points on them (no matter how they've been interpreted). I apologize if this sounds angry at all, it's not meant to.

It is necessary if you are responding to me as I never questioned the Krystal aspect of your argument. I questioned why Wolf would be chosen over Falco. You have not asserted anything logical in regards to that notion. In fact, you played the "it is my opinion" card. I believe that you are biased and therefore your opinion should not be taken seriously. Correct me if I am wrong.

Well, the normal battle ones don't actually adapt to a team. They just have a set pattern. The super ones are much tougher and they actually do things. :)

On another point, simmer it down just a tad. It's getting a tad heated from what I'm reading. (You can always agree to disagree!)

Well, I always saw opinions as biased by nature.
As such, I usually just respected opinions but not necessarily took them seriously, so you're right.

I care about the state of "opinions" more than I do about Falco.

Alright haha... Sorry for discussing more on adding Krystal though you didn't address that. Though, I feel what I said was certainly not unrelated. Falco could be cut too, I only said he was less likely to be cut because I feel him being in SSB longer helps him. If you haven't caught the reason why I said it wasn't necessary to debate on that anymore (though I think you clearly have), it's because both of us have stated our opinions, and even if we haven't addressed all of the others, we don't need to debate about it for the sake debating and wasting more of each other's time on it. You know both of our points were explained clearly enough, and that you are only responding more for the sake of debating and trying to discredit my points... I really don't care enough about this to reply, should you respond again for these reasons. I'd be happy to discuss something else though.

I apologize for the lost post, but here it goes... Probably talked about 1,000 times already, but, here's my top 15 new characters I'd be interested in seeing any of in SSB4 - But, before I begin, I'll just say that I've picked these from looking at popular predictions/desired characters, picked who I thought would be good from those, & also looked into popular or main characters from the games SSB characters were in, even if I hadn't played them (and picked who I liked). So, in no particular order:

From Metroid: 1. Dark Samus 2. Rundas (as a neutral sided character)
I'd like to see Dark Samus, but she's already an Assist Trophy.

Why the hell would you pick Rundas of all characters? Who honestly thinks he's an important and integral character to the Metroid series?

No offense.

This is actually a pretty informative video and tells the difference between STEREOTYPES and RACISM while discussing the issue of Punch Out! NES Version is understandable since we don't see or know that much about the characters other than their appearance and mannerisms. While in the Wii Version, we have these characters speaking their mother tongue and representing their country of origin very well. For example, Great Tiger speaks like a real Indian instead of being a wannabe Indian like Haiji from Johnny Quest. Soda Popinski sounds like a real threat thanks to his Russian laungauge and dat voice while same could go from any other boxer in Punchy Out Wii. Not all stereotypes are bad unless they are portrayed in a comical or "positive racist" (Italians being good cooks, Blacks being great singers, ect.) manner.

A great example I'd mention is BD Joe from Crazy Taxi since he's a personal favorite of mines. While he may seem like just a black guy, he arguably had WAY more character than Axel or any other character. The dude got his swaggy glasses, loves to be hip, got a great goatee (like my old man), has an island themed hat, have cool denim pants, wears the color blue, and he's got dat cah-rae-zee voice. That alone makes him one of the more memorable characters in those games hence his appearance in most Sonic & Sega All Stars games. He arguably seem like a positive stereotype unlike a certain Transformer duo. They could have been better characters IF they didn't focus TOO much on the negatives (Not being able to read, looking horridly ugly, being too obnoxious, ect). If anything, a certain black baron from MadWorld from MadWorld/Anarchy Reigns while focusing on the negative stereotypes was a more enjoyable character since he was a badass in his own right if you've seen him fight and was pretty entertaining without relying on them said stereotypes.

That's pretty much my intake on Gaijin Goomba's video and he does makes some pretty good points about his journey through different cultures.

Lucky.
The past few days have been nothing but hot and humid for me. Heck, a thunderstorm just past me by an hour ago.
Speaking of storms, one just happened Monday and the power went down in my area for a few days (hence my absence during that time). Luckily it even came back on this morning so that I could stop by here.
