N3DS isn't really 3DS's successor... more of an upgrade, like the DSi was to the DS.

It is very doubtful that we'll be seeing another remake in the same generation (or system).

Generation 7 will probably have a direct sequel in their place, if the games come out for 3DS. Much like the black sheep of all generations, U Nova.

The Black Sheep always tends to be one of my favorites, I've noticed.

Super Paper Mario (Although nowadays, the black sheep of the series is Sticker Star)
The NSMB series
and a few others

Still though, I always liked how B2W2 expanded on the Unova region's already great story, adding new areas and truly showing how the region and the BW characters had progressed. Fitting, seeing as how the name of BW's credits theme was, "To each future". (Also, awesome credits theme)
Honestly, when replaying B2W2 I notice that it has a lot of things that Gen 6 seems to lack, like Dark Grass and the "Victory is Near!" Music.
God I love that music.
Also, PWT, and remade versions of every single Champion and Gym Leader theme, as well as the moving sprite intros for each character.
Cynthia's theme was remade twice. Once in BW, and again in B2W2.

Well yeah, and people thought the exact same thing about Gens 2 and 3, and they got their remakes.
You'll get your Gen 4 remakes (Probably). But they probably won't get their chance until another day.

Really though, I've been on a binge of Gen V music, and I love it. Frozen City, Entralink, B2W2 Champion theme, PWT Finals Theme, Victory is Near, To Each Future, Hugh's Theme, (neo) Team Plasma Theme, The Bike theme, Each of the 8 individual Gym Themes, etc.

(With a little bit of Pokmon Typing DS music thrown iin as well)

Zorua Archepeligo is pretty good, and Bright Sunshine is catchy. Deerling Park is alright.
I like Emolga's Tall Forest, personally.
