I used to think Mewtwo was an alien when I wasn't so familiar with Pokemon. Then I found out that apparently some of the people who worked on Earthbound Zero (Where Giegue was from and who is an alien) also worked on Pokemon Red & Green where Mewtwo originated from.

But nah, Mewtwo isn't an alien.

When they failed at cloning Mew, they unlocked the true DNA of Giygas, hence the strong similarity.

Some similarities are fun though.

It truly was as good as I hoped it would be, and I had VERY high expectations for it, I beat it in 2 days myself. I've heard people didn't like the twist in the game, feeling it was too outlandish and wacky even by Professor Layton and Ace Attorney standards. I myself absolutely loved it, especially the final trial- Taelenda!
