K. Rool stopped being relevant after Nintendo lost Rare, relegated to appear only in spin-offs, he isn't even the antagonist in the series anymore.

Not to mention the data of Dixie in Brawl meant at one point she was considered to become a character for the series.

And Dixie was thought of as a tagteam for Diddy. Sakurai decided against the tag mechanic. If that's how he saw Dixie, it only works in K. Rool's favor further.

It kind of makes sense though. A majority of games listed here are multiplayer titles, which lend themselves well to viewership.

Nintendo doesn't have as many big multiplayer titles. Super Mario has more recently done lots of multiplayers stuff that lends itself to reactions or funny moments.

See? This is why I want both Dixie Kong and King K Rool. So none of this controversy means anything in the end.

That's implying that adding K. Rool would make them lose money. And once again, no it does not affect his relevancy. Because it doesn't deal with recency.

Duck Hunt wasn't relevant. And don't give me the retro double standard stuff. People remember Duck Hunt. People remember K. Rool. Hell, I'm sure that since he's had less of a hiatus, more of the new generation would recognize him anyway.

Need something to promote? DK 64 on the VC. K. Rool doesn't need a new game to get in. Tell me exactly where that was said and maybe I'll give it another thought.

My friends just got really into League, and it's so boring to play to me, as well as watch. But it's wierd how Dunkey actually makes it tolerable for me to watch and laugh at the League jokes even when I don't get it.
