I went on Brawl's stage builder yesterday and I'm glad they've done the sensible thing this time by using the gamepad to its maximum. I must have used Brawl's four or five times, but with the Wii U I've got loads of ideas of what I want to do. Does anyone think that Nintendo is becoming lazy with this, Mario Maker next year and even Wariware DIY a few years back? What's next make your own Pokemon (oh God please noooooo =p)

It's great that the stage builder has been expanded upon, but I'm still just gonna make a box with Flat Zone 2's theme.

I don't have an HD TV to plug the Wii U to, so even if I got one, I wouldn't be graced by the graphical beauty...

But then I realized my laptop has a HDMI port.

Good question I hadn't thought of before...

I have no idea.

I'm not familiar at all with HDMI stuff.
Your laptop needs an input. 99.99% of laptops are output.
Unless you have one thats input, you can't use your Wii U on your Laptop :(

Does your laptop have this?

Frankly, I don't know what an HDMI port for a laptop is for, but regardless you would need an actual HDMI cable.
Projectors are the ONLY thing i can think of atm :p

I'd like to see some people make Colosseum/XD stages. It's a shame that it's got no representation so far, but Phenac City and even Pyrite Town would have been great choices. Hopefully there's SOME XD music to have in the background for my crappy stage I'll build that will look nothing like anything in the Orre region :)

Yeah, it's probably an output port, given it's near the port for monitors.

I want a Wii U so badly, yet I don't have any conditions to fully enjoy having one or any other home console.

I'm rarely at home and going there means a 4 hour train ride from where I'm living. Transporting a Wii U along with tons of other stuff is not practical at all.

And this is why I utterly dislike seeing people bashing the 3DS version.

Wow, much sad :(

But seriously it annoys me when people bash the 3DS version as well :ohwell:

Most (if not all) laptops have HDMI out ports, so you can connect it to a HD TV or a projector.
It was a matter of having a HDMI in on his laptop to use a Wii U.

Both versions of Smash are worthwhile on theyr own, and owning both comes with its own benefits as well. Everybody is equal in the great Smash family.

Can't wait for Mewtwo's release.

And I have a hunch that Mewtwo won't be the only DLC character...

They only showed Mewtwo to create hype, but leaving with a sense of vagueness we have all come to know (and love :troll:).

Same siutation minus the laptop part.

Thing is though, I've chose that to happen. I don't have room for 2 huge TVs in my room. So I ended up picking my CRT over my LCD TV because most of my consoles were non-HD systems (talking like almost every console generation) and looks like garbage on my LCD TV. I'll see if I can get a HDMI converter for my PC monitor.

So i went out for dinner tonight and this was on my table number

Turns out the HDMI port on my laptop is actually an output port, not an input one.

Did research. If it was an input port, it would say "HDMI IN". It doesn't.

I heard you can play on the GamePad, even with two or people playing.

Yeah, although I plan to stick with the GC controller for Wii U and don't want to use a the gamepad as a monitor when I'm not using it. So I'll try to get an HDMI converter for my monitor. Really want to see Smash in glorious HD resolution!

Almost all games you can play on the Gamepad exclusively. I think only games like ZombiU that have some dual-screen gimmic require the console to also have a TV output. Thought, 2 player Smash on gamepad I wager would be a bit small, but its possible :p
