Trust me, I know the feeling. I hope your cat is able to power through it, it's terrible to have to lose a pet.
Thanks.
I got a tweet from my mom about an hour ago saying he was still holding on, but you never know. An hour is a long time.
Still have some time left until morning.
They left him with the vet to stay the night, but they called and said he'd gotten worse so they went up there to stay with him, either to make sure he made it or be with him when he didn't.

There's not much I can really say other than I hope that everything works out in the end, and again, I'm really sorry that he's sick. Hopefully he'll be fine by morning.
I still remember when my first cat passed away. He was old, very sick, and probably didn't have long to live anyway. Took him to the vet to have him put down, held him in my arms while they gave him the injection, probably the saddest I've ever been. At least he was able to pass peacefully and happy.

We'll see what happens. I've already grieved over the worst part. It's inevitable now.

DBZ music is really good for lowering the tension though.
I swear if I ever make a game of my own I want the soundtrack to sound like that, it fits everything.

And now you reminded me of my old cat from years before my old dog.

I did not really need these feels.

I'm sorry Golden. I've been sitting here staring at this monitor for hours making a Mach Rider moveset to try and take my mind off of it, but the thoughts were just overbearing. I had to tell someone eventually. :urg:

Listening to this to relieve stress because I'm feeling pretty terrible right now.
One of my cats has a serious illness and we're not sure if he's gonna make it till the morning.
This cat was inbreed and premature, and he's around half a year old but the size of a two-month old kitten. My parents bottle-fed him since he was a kitten so he is essentially the baby.

My parents left to watch him at the emergency vet, probably for the whole night.

EDIT: Dunno if it was good idea to share this but I figured most of the regulars here will be cool about it.
Hope your cat is going to be alright man. I've lived through 2 dogs already, and the third one was poisoned by some asshole who keeps intentionally littering poisoned dog food, some dogs in the neigbourhood already died because of him, but my dog managed to power through it and is fine now. Its unreal how downright evil some people can get, but thats an entirely different topic.

It's not your fault.

It's just more or less the memories went from bad to worse, thinking about my old dog, then my old cat, and to finish it off, my "adopted" outdoor cat (was apparently abandoned and it started hanging around our place because my old cat would share his food with it so we eventually took him in as our own and gave him his own food) that wasn't lucky enough to be put down; a year after my old dog's passing, age started to get to him, and a coyote got him. Last thing my father saw of him was a paw that a neighbor pointed out.

It really sucks for me that I connect to cats far better than other humans, when stuff like this happens.
When I lose one, it is close to losing a family member.

I think that is a sociopathic trait but whatever.

Praying for your cat, Kenith.

As for pets that I've had, I've never owned a dog or a cat, actually....but I did have a rabbit, who passed away in November 2010. Even in his older years he was a bit of wild one, would love to go for little walks in the room outside of his cage every now and then. He eventually went blind in one eye but was still pretty upbeat then, before finally tiring out in his last two years and becoming completely blind. He wasn't super slow or weak, but he was certainly a lot easier going than he used to be, even on his final day he seemed perfectly normal with no signs of further weakening or any kind of problems, yet he passed away sometime in the evening with no one there to accompany him...it was a really big and saddening shock for all of us, we had him for so many years...he did live an extremely long life for a rabbit, a good 12 or 13 years before finally giving in.

Well, I never had a pet so I don't know that feeling myself, but I hope your cat lives through it, Kenith.

I had six birds at one point. Five Budgerigars, we had gotten three of them from one pet store, the fourth one from another pet store, and the fifth had been with us already for a few years prior to getting the other four. They've all passed away at different times since then, one of them being within only a week after we got it, which from what I remember was apparently because it was very picky about it's food and didn't eat much. The last two we had passed away just last year...

The other bird we have is a blue crowned conure, and it's one we've had for a looooong time. He's still alive and well today.

I really don't like the idea of pets. If they lived as long a humans, it wouldn't really be a problem. However, they just die way too soon, yet they stay long enough for someone to get attached to them.

Hope everything is alright Kenith. :(

Well from what I read this isn't a situation I can have a lot of apathy towards (not sure if that's the right word) as I've never had a pet. Closest I've been to nor is when my best friend lost one of his kittens (they let him out and he never came back) he was distraught for a while :(. But conversely he had another cat that lived for more than 15 years and in the latter stages of her life she was not easy to look at. Hardly ever moved. But I think all any pet owner can do in this situation is treasure the moments they have, but ultimately when the inevitable happens be prepared, because my friend sure wasn't. All the best Kenith :)

Well, if you don't have much to go on in terms of friendships, like me...
It's not forever, but it's well worth the price.

I'm torn.
What's more interesting from a gameplay perspective:

A game where you have a full set of spells, a sword, and a crossbow...
Or one where your primary (read: only) weapon is a grappling hook?

When you'll loose a close family member (not like a random cousin you see twice a year) you'll open your eyes. You're probably just lucky.
