@ Frostwraith Removing Sheik wouldn't remove an entire series from the game, though.
To be honest, I go back and forth between hating the generic dog and being OK with his playable status, he's simply the easiest newcomer to blame for the lack of fan-favorites because he's such a non-relevant and quirky character, I guess I could also rip on Greninja since he's the other newcomer that didn't deserve it.

Again, the gameplay argument doesn't work with me because I care little about how a character plays.

Forgive my harsh sarcasm, but if the Ice Climbers weren't in Smash in the first place, no one today would have given a **** about them.

I miss the cut characters as much as the next guy, but let's not get on a scapegoating spree.

This isn't the first time a fighting game cuts characters. This isn't the first time a crossover sequel stops alluding to certain series. **** happens.

From someone who is completely unbiased on duck hunt and from someone who DID NOT KNOW who ridley was when I played melee and only knew years after...

I don't even agree with that. Hell I don't care if the character is from a live action tv show. Not a single character deserves to be in or not be in the game. Be it 3rd party, 1st party Nintnedo, 1st party other console, anime, manga, real life, or what have you. There are obvious reason why some of these character will never get in, but that is far different from actually deserving to get in or not.

Why the heck wouldn't you care about how a character actually fights, in you know a ****ing FIGHTING game? You know how lame it would be if Ridley was just a Charizard clone? If King K. Rool was some King DDD clone. News flash, it'd be pretty ****ing lame. There's a reason many Ganondorf fans still want him to have different moves. Because they want the character they like to be represented properly in Smash.

Anyone who's a REAL fan of these characters wouldn't want that to happen. They'd want the to be as accurate as possible and be fun to actually use.

Oddly enough, I think that's the reason I feel nostalgic about Duck Hunt.

Not because of Duck Hunt itself, but because the dog reminds me of old cartoons I used to watch all the time when I was little.

I care about who they are, I actually wouldn't give a damn about Smash if it didn't include my favorite Nintendo characters (Well, MOST of them).To be fair, I do care about gameplay, but not as much as the roster or the game's content, since the game's a Nintendo Museum first and THEN a fighting game. All those 'no gameplay' posts are half-trolling since I do care about the gameplay of each character, but not as much as some of you guys seem to do. Where you think a good moveset justifies a C-List nobody who no one remembers.
