I don't know. From her role in Smash and MH4 she just seems like a character who will only help without actually fighting. One of the tips in Smash 4 states she dislikes fighting and frowns when the fight gets near her. She seems like a pacifist character to me.

That's exactly what Sakurai said about the villager in Brawl.

Isabelle's moveset might be full of attacks done on accident or unintentionally for all we know. Sakurai can make it work.

Wasn't suited for battle isn't the same as being a pacifist.
If she attacked by accident I think she'd apologise after everytime or at least look extremely sorry, but then again that might look a little weird if she keeps doing it.

I'd like Nook and Gracie in Smash. Gracie could have a set using scarves, parasols, carpeting, fashion checks, her car, etc. Plus she would smack people with her head like those fighting giraffes.

It saddens me the the only Zelda characters even promoted by Nintendo are the vanilla protagonists (Link and Zelda) in forms representing the weaker side of the franchise.

I'm honestly surprised they included Samus given that Japan's response to Metroid has been luke warm at best and completely negligent at worst. She also looks hilariously out of place here.

I like the idea of an accident prone fighter. For example, she could have a smash attack where she tries to hit a mosquito with a fly swatter or where she trips and accidentally drops a leaf that turns into a dresser or a bed.

She could always fight by not fighting.

Maybe a trip-up here, some absurdly powerful sneezes there (it's allergy season), etc.

I think she's still recognized as a Nintendo icon in Japan even if her games aren't particularly popular there. I won't argue though about the out of place part.

It's like the people designing thought, how can we make this commercial look any more bizarre then it already is? I know let's throw in the the serious woman in the metal suit in there with the other character's we're making look silly, that works.

Hyrule Warriors is so much fun.
I can rest easy knowing my two favorite Zelda characters, Midna and Ghirahim, are incredibly fun to use.
Midna in particular is so cute. <3

Her constantly snarky gibberish absolutely sells her new voice for me. Particularly, after she lands a guard break hit (the wind-up punch) she says some gibberish in this mocking tone at the opponent with her hand on her chin and laughs and it is hilarious and cute and I love it so much.
Please Nintendo, bless Midna to be one of your prized mascots instead of being locked in the basement with every Zelda character not Link.

She would definitely be a better reoccuring character than Tingle, that's for sure. The Zelda series is pretty infamous for awesome one-and-done characters.

Midna or Ghirahim on the other hand, are really fleshed out, so they probably don't want to take the risk of ruining the character.

Oh, and no one is allowed to talk down Tingle in my presence.

Yesterday I was looking random Smash pictures in a 24 hour period, I ran across this:

They have yet to explain why or how Tingle exists across mutiple timelines. Is he eternally reincarnated? Is he immortal? He had a backstory in Majora's Mask that was forgotten when he reappeared years later.

So Tingle has no excuse that can't be used by Midna or Ghirahim.
Plus, at one point, Aounuma actually said they would bring Midna back if "there were enough voices".

I've been in the fanbase for years and I've heard tons of voices.
Where the hell is she?
