But my point is that they still can't have a character run at 30 fps, it would be unprofessional, even if it's just by having multiple IC at the screen, it's still something they cannot let slip by. I'm sure they probably considered that, hence why Nana and Popo files are still there, but things like that cannot simply happen, especially not in a fighting game, all characters have to be running smoothly ALL THE TIME.
I think that's a stretch.
I mean, under the very rare circumstances that the Ice Climbers would go against one another in the 3DS version specifically, it would probably only slow the animations down and not the hitbox/hurtboxes.
Also, lets see how rare this scenario could be: (for the sake of it, let's just say there's an equal chance of every character. I know there's not but let's just go with it for now) There's about 50 characters in smash. only one of them is Ice Climbers. TWO people have to play ice climbers for them to be slowed down. 1/50 x 1/50 = 1/2500 and then we have to take into account that this will only apply in one version, so we double the count on this, it should be a 1/5000 case.
Literally, 1 time for every 5000 this should happen.
and that's not even taking things into account like the Wii U version being way more popular in the competitive scene, where this will matter most, it won't even happen at all!
And besides, if the only time that ice climbers are at 30 frames is if they are playing against another ice climber, then that ALSO reduces the problems because BOTH players are subjected to the frames. it would really only be a problem in 3DS doubles matches with 2 or more Ice Climbers.
I think this must not have been possible for the smash team to do in the first place because if it was possible I'd see no reason not to do it.
