No, sadly.Is his sword different?
*Hype Intensifies*A closer look at the Fierce Deity costume. Damn, it looks badass.
I think it's just recolored. Is his sword different?

I think it's just recolored.
I know, it's a shame.. but I think FD's Sword is bigger than the Master Sword anyway.
Donkey Kong is one for Mario too, if it helps. :DYou know, I'm now even more upset that Wolf is gone because I realized can't do a rivals-themed 4-way FFA since the only other characters that fit the archetype are Meta Knight, Wario and Dark Pit.
How about Dark Samus? Dark Link? Daisy? See, you have plenty of options for rivals. You know, I'm now even more upset that Wolf is gone because I realized I can't do a rivals-themed 4-way FFA since the only other characters that fit the archetype are Meta Knight, Wario and Dark Pit.
Yeah, kind of, but he's also a protagonist on his own with his own heroic roles.Donkey Kong is one for Mario too, if it helps. :D
Yeah, it is kind of sad. Fox's dark costume is kind of close to Wolf if it happens.Yeah, kind of, but he's also a protagonist on his own with his own heroic roles.
Meta Knight, Wario, Wolf and Dark Pit all fit the rival archetype in the sense they're an antithesis of the hero in terms of moral qualities.
Meta Knight is honorable and loyal to his own beliefs, where Kirby is a happy-go-lucky goofball.
Wario is greedy contrasting with Mario's righteousness.
Wolf is a mercenary who resorts to dirty methods to achieve his goals, while Fox is a much more honorable character.
Dark Pit just wants to do whatever he wants and isn't afraid to call out the gods on their crap, while Pit is blindly loyal to Palutena and naive.
A stretch indeed, because I meant the rival archetype from a storytelling standpoint not subject to open interpretation.Yeah, it is kind of sad. Fox's dark costume is kind of close to Wolf if it happens.
Hmm... How about Duck Hunt? Consider Mii Fighter "you" for a moment. The DHD is every player's rival at some point. It's a stretch, but it works.
Unfortunately they aren't rivals to anyone. But themselves, maybe.A stretch indeed, because I meant the rival archetype from a storytelling standpoint not subject to open interpretation.
Another thing for all the flaws they may have and acts of villainy they may commit, they will still help out the hero at times, even if not for the same reasons as him.
Another character that fits this archetype is the Black Knight from the Fire Emblem series.
Well, we did get a new villain with Bowser Jr... or actually 8 villains, considering the Koopalings.
I kinda agree.I still think Bowser Jr. shoulda just had recolours.. maybe i'm weird for that. lol
But how else would we make Roy jokes? And Morton's salt jokes? How I ask you! How!I still think Bowser Jr. shoulda just had recolours.. maybe i'm weird for that. lol
Well, skaaaa is pretty weird.I kinda agree.
Hey, he didn't in OOT. In fact, it makes sense he didn't use one at all. He never truly had one.(albeit, the teased one was from a tech demo and used his OOT model. Note that never became a real thing. We got an entirely different Ganondorf with two swords.)Confession time: As much as I like the idea of custom movesets, I would trade custom them for more characters.
Yes, even if it meant the Great King wouldn't use the sword.
Great minds think alike. I too would prefer characters over custom movesets. I think atleast 53% of this thread agrees with us.Confession time: As much as I like the idea of custom movesets, I would trade them for more characters.
Yes, even if it meant the Great King wouldn't use the sword.
I don't even care much for custom movesets so I'm even more for this.Confession time: As much as I like the idea of custom movesets, I would trade them for more characters.

Yeah... same here. I probably won't even use custom specials much, aside from maybe making some of the challenges easier.Confession time: As much as I like the idea of custom movesets, I would trade them for more characters.
Yes, even if it meant the Great King wouldn't use the sword.
I would also. Tho Ganondorf should have been reworked into using his sword regardless.Confession time: As much as I like the idea of custom movesets, I would trade them for more characters.
Yes, even if it meant the Great King wouldn't use the sword.
I can agree with that sentiment. But the custom moves are cool. So I hope they stay.Confession time: As much as I like the idea of custom movesets, I would trade them for more characters.

Someone on Reddit has the game and a Japanese 3DS and says it only works against Robin. The game has been out in Japan for like 3 days and now they're finding "infinites"?....
Took 'em long enough. The game has been out in Japan for like 3 days and now they're finding "infinites"?....
So this is literally the same thing that ZSS did in brawl against R.O.B? lol rip robin/zss matchupSomeone on Reddit has the game and a Japanese 3DS and says it only works against Robin.
Robin got rekt...The game has been out in Japan for like 3 days and now they're finding "infinites"?....
Well, you have a point. The custom moves probably took so much less time then characters do I don't know how many more characters you would have gotten by scrapping the custom moves.
Damn, better be careful with Zero Suit Samus when playing as Robin.Someone on Reddit has the game and a Japanese 3DS and says it only works against Robin.
I... Wouldn't. I'm actually quite liking the custom moves I've seen so far, and I plan to toy around with them a lot when the game comes out over here.Confession time: As much as I like the idea of custom movesets, I would trade them for more characters.
Yes, even if it meant the Great King wouldn't use the sword.
You're surprised? With the advent of social media and the internet, breaking **** down in video games becomes a simple matter. At any rate...The game has been out in Japan for like 3 days and now they're finding "infinites"?....
Time just loves to repeat itself. But I wonder if it could be done to anyone else...So this is literally the same thing that ZSS did in brawl against R.O.B? lol rip robin/zss matchup
