Untechable knockdown from the footstool ---> jab reset, @ Backgammon Backgammon . Plus Paralyzer. It's basically the same jank as the footstool infinite ZSS had on ROB in Barlw vBrawl.

That is in no way an infinite. It looks easily techable and Robin isn't using a wakeup.
It is an infinite.
You can't tech a footstool, and shooting robin forces him to do a getup animation with no attack. There is no way robin can escape, but it only works on robin due to how the footstool works with him.

So, if it's possible to use infinites. Then I wonder if there are any others that are possible.

I hope there are patches to fix such infinites. It's not funny being the receiving end of such a thing.

If there is a bright side to this infinite, is that it only effects one character. In other fighting games there are cases where infinite combos effect most in not all characters. Super Smash Bros in theory benefits from the emphasis on knocking away the opponent because it helps prevent an infinite from happening via knock back increasing, but even then loopholes are found.

Well I wouldn't say both versions. After all, there is a section for both the 3DS and Wii U.

That's why I put "infinite". It looks like one, but it isn't.
@ Smooth Criminal Smooth Criminal : I don't know. I guess I'm surprised. I just heard about this because of the Reddit boards.
It is an infinite, though. Haha.

And I knew this Smash game was gonna have some kinda jank in it. I just figured it wouldn't be superficial Brawl-level jank, and thankfully I've been right about it so far.

Interesting how people from different countries/cultures have different reactions towards the same thing.

I was checking Portuguese gaming websites and seems the roster of this game was overall better received. Sure, there were people lamenting Wolf and Ice Climbers being cut, as well as no Ridley or Mewtwo, but there wasn't any complaining or whining.

The general attitude was something like "appreciate what you get".

Oh yeah, it skips my favorite part, but I still enjoy all the Paper Mario content that's in the game!
FINALLY YOU POSTED HERE!!!

:)

Anyway, the part skip is actually ok because this part is the danger part of the rogueport theme, but all the segment kept is all the one reflecting the dynamic of Rogueport which imo, is fine with the segment location and the time limit.

Just remember, this isn't really a medley. I think it's the first time we see this in smash history, but the music has 3 differents files and not just section played over and over. It's made to have every segment synced with the stage transition so you have to evaluate rogueport theme on its own considering only the SS flavion section.

Also, don't use this crappy compressed audio...it;s garbage compared to what you'll get in the game.

It's generally good to have a positive attitude. No need to whine too much when you don't a character you like. No need to be a **** to people who are disappointed either.

I'm just waiting to get some practice as Mega Man. I want to get good with him.

This x9000. The roster is fine, in my opinion.

I'm probably going to skip out on the Smash Demo that comes out on Friday. I just read that only 5 characters can be used on it and Battlefield is the only stage. That's just a total rip off.

I reckon it's due to a sense of nationalistic or even personal situational entitlement.
People in the Americas definitely feel that the game should pander to their every want, instead of letting the game developer do their own thing. Obviously, this doesn't apply to everyone, but it seems to be a very Western thing.

How dare they give us something for free that they didn't have to, geez, what a rip off.

Although to be fair, Mewtwo is wanted worldwide and the lack of him, while not a base breaker, really, does seem strange.

Keep in mind I realize a long time ago his Smash-related popularity is entirely different from his Pokemon-related popularity. It also doesn't help that many hated how horrid he was in Melee. If he was something like Snake or Meta Knight-amazing, I'm sure the reception would be far worse. But the fact he kind of sucks made the blow a little less for many.

And I don't even mind he's not in, but I still think he's a good choice for the game, regardless of viability.

I don't see how a free demo is a total rip-off.
And did @ Backgammon Backgammon (a moderator, nonetheless) just double post? Preposterous.

That's what i would expect for a demo honestly.

Also, FD form technically = 2 stages.

And you have the melee tutorial music if you wait on tittle screen. I really love that music :)

This is something I learned when Brawl was released. Slow speed and tripping made me sad and all, but nothing, NOTHING made me more angry than Zant NOT being in the game. Not even the overall lack of a new Zelda rep, just lack of that character itself made me so mad that I never bought the game, and by the time I got over it I had no real desire left to play the game anymore.

The lesson here kids, is dont do drugs.

Apparently, the VA who's the announcer for this game is new, this game being his first big role.

He did a fairly good job.

It also kind of helps the Nintendo community here is very small and doesn't really have biases towards certain franchises.

We're a small country and Nintendo fans are a minority among what's already a relatively smaller gaming fanbase compared to the rest of the world, which I think it helps people not really caring about franchise representation and all that.

Wait, it is? Lol. I heard the same thing worked in Brawl with R.O.B. What a coincidence, don't you think.
R.O.B. Robin.

Yeah, the announcer sounds good on the demo.

Especially mega man I love the voice.

Can't wait for sound test jokes about repeating the play button on every narration sound effects :)

...

What? I must not be the only one that made funny stuff with this?

Ok, I may be, but it;s fun at least.

He did, honestly. However, I am disappointed with a few lines. If you win with Zelda, he sounds genuinely disappointed.

Give how he says "Zelda" a listen, it's like he's just going "...Zelda. :C"

I guess that means you can be more mature about it overall.

Wow, really? I like the announcer for this game. (except the way he says "Shulk," though I suppose I'm pronouncing his name wrong.)
