so to those of you who have the demo or the full game....How is Villager best played? is he more of a zoner? i plan on maining him with Ness and ive been curious as to what the best tactics for him are

Villager's on-stage game is "OK" at best. However, they are a BEAST at edgeguarding.

I think he's better during FFA's. That way you can set up the tree better.

I 3-stocked a level 9 Mario once with Pikachu. I'm having a hard time with Megaman. I can't never seem to KO him.

Oh Mega Man is good, no doubt about it. Just in my experience I haven't seen anything to suggest Villager was a clear number one out of those five characters.

I think he's better during FFA's. That way you can set up the tree better.

It's more fun when you have 1 other person only. Also a villager. So you can play catch the tree with each other.

Yes. Although of course the physical character design was from OOT and ported into MM. But his actual moves are only potentially possible in that game.

I'm sort of depressed about Little Mac.

It seems like no one knows how to handle Little Mac, either spamming Jolt Haymaker or simply abusing the jab. I don't think I've seen anyone take advantage of the three forward smashes either.

Still, there's always the possibility of DLC characters or this wild idea of mine where you trade custom items from the Wii U version, to the 3DS version, and the same for the other way around, to unlock characters.

Fixed tbh, because we're not really guaranteed DLC just because Mario Kart 8 got that DLC, it's just likely.

If he kept in Transformations, yep. It's probably a lag issue due to the 3DS version. But it also can limit a character poorly. You have to balance it between both characters, and Sakurai has been bad at doing that. So the splits are rather reasonable.

I like transformations, but they are pretty bad for balance.
