Anyone still thinking new Wii U characters are going to happen? What's your opinion on this?

I'm thinking it's a little straw graspy, but it COULD happen.
Wii U. Let's see, W for Wolf, the first I for Ice Climbers, the second I for someone with an "I" for the first letter in their name e.g. Isaac or Impa, and U for someone Uber like Mewtwo, Ridley, or Dr. Luigi - you know you want the Doctor. :p

I'm just going to wait on what they ultimately decide to about the Ice Climbers because that's really my only major gripe about the roster right now. I still find it suspect that the Polar Bear and Sneaky Spirit are in Smash Run given how every other enemy is from playable franchises so I think the Wii U version will still hold some surprises.
There aren't going to be version exclusive characters.

Oh for ****'s sake, am I literally the only one here without a demo now!? D:
*Whistles*

November 21st launch date for the Wii U version. (Not confirmed) We talking about this yet?

http://alwaysnintendo.com/super-smash-bros-wii-u-release-date-revealed/
Sounds likely! I do think that Nov. is the release month...

The worst part about Lucas getting cut is that we'll probably never get any more Mother characters, even if Lucas comes back.
No crying until Smash 5. :)

For me, I blame tap jump. For some reason I have a hard time U-tilting on the Circle Pad.
I play villager and his u-tilt hasn't found a place yet for me (...except sometimes).

Comboing his/her dash attack into another dash attack into a side aerial was a fun way to kill Mega Man.
:troll:

Though not actually a good one because lvl 9 cpus are annoyingly good at dodging my thrown pot.

If November is the release month, why even get the 3DS Version?
One Month is a while, I know, but it's not THAT long.
Remember when the release dates were Summer and Winter? Now they're both in Fall, and one month inbetween! :V

I don't care what anyone says, I'm considering both of these as different versions of Smash 4 and neither are Smash 5.

I've been listening to Phineas and Ferb songs for the last half an hour now. Maybe it's time to listen to something else...

Because I'm not getting the Wii U version. This is as far as I go.

That's what I've noticed. They love rolling.

Though, Mario's Up-tilt whenever I've used it is really good. Had a good range, can solve some of my approach issues. It's just whenever I attempt it I end up jumping instead (it's possible to up-tilt without getting the jump though, but you have to tilt the pad in such a way that it's just easier to do it when you can use it. Such as out of a down throw).

Thts pretty much what they are. Anyone calling WiiU version Smash 5 is using some wierd logic (I assume it has to do with the Smash 6 trademark registering, which in itself I would say was wonky and leads to Soul Calibur most likely)

Before the demo, I was concerned, like everyone else, about how the controls would feel.

And they feel fantastic.

That's because that's what they are.

If we used the logic of SSBWiiU being Smash 5, Street Fighter would be on Street Fighter 8(?) by now.
That's my logic behind it either. I don't know why people insist otherwise.

Oh man i just found out about the Mewtwo trophy, so i guess all this talk about DLC characters is most likely just wishful thinking.
However, i'm curious to see if DLC stages could become a thing.

Villager is awesome. His recovery is insane, you can poke people and chase them off the platform and then just fly back, Jiggle Puff style. I would think an offensive play style would work great with him, although he does have a few trap moves.

Learn to use the slingshot. That's all I can give.

Loving Mario and Mega Man in the demo. Also, Villager's Pocket is my favourite move in the series. So many mind games to be played.

I think Link is the best out of the demo characters... really I actually found Level 9 Villagers much easier to destroy than Mario's or Link's.

I use him strongly offensively. The slingshot is significantly more powerful than I was expecting. If someone ends up under the stage, the bowling ball is almost a certain edgeguard. Also, you could just jump off the edge, poke, and fly back anyway. His recovery options are WAY good.

His dash attack is great to use because the pot he drops goes a long distance, and you can drop it off the stage too.

I also use his jab a lot. And his Nair. They come in handy.

I 3-stocked a level 9 Mario once with Pikachu. I'm having a hard time with Megaman. I can't never seem to KO him.

Just curious: Wasn't the release date for the Wii U version supposed to be revealed on the Treehouse stream?
