Never said it was bad! I make pixel art as well and love helping out people with it. The shading is the only part I was gonna really give critique about.
Did they ever translated the later volumes of the Nichijou manga? They seemed to have slowed down with that the last time I checked

I honestly didn't watch it. I saw the reactions and quotes and decided it'll just make me angry by just watching it.

That's exactly why there are various sizes. The smallest one is the original size. The bigger ones are for the people who often complain about them being too small to see when I try to show them off.
Oh okay. And yeah, I love spriting as well. I've been making them since I was 14, which was 10 and a half years ago.

Well actually, the only thing you and I are at opposite ends on is Sonic. We seem to have pretty much the same taste in almost everything else.

What do you mean? It looks exactly like a Smartphone. Sure there's a whole in the back, has buttons, and looks nothing like a phone. But doll it up and add a few things here and there and you might be able to get away with it.
You mentioned the light source part, but I'd also mention the shading doesn't feel defined enough. By defined I mean, it looks a little too flat and doesn't add much to the details. The best way to know how shading works usually is by studying how shading is done on official sprites, especially bigger ones. It gives you an idea of how and why they're done. Shading is also used to add texture to the sprites too.@Naoshi

As far as I can see, the latest translation is from the end of October 2014. They are on volume 9. I want to have them in real life and translated, but I'm pretty sure I can't. Either that or I learn japanese and buy them in the original lauguage. But it would take too much time.
I don't know. The manga utilizes furigana, so you only need to learn hiragana, katakana and basic vocabulary to read the manga, which doesn't require too much effort.
