I played some matches with @ Space Stranger Space Stranger
Did a TON of Event Matches (going to finish 'em up today~)
Played some more 1-on-1s in 4:4larry:
All in a single night!

As a player of the original R/S(I barely went through Emerald), I gotta say the water complaint is very legitimate. Keep in mind the meme is funny right now, but the high amount of annoying water types, little variety in them as well(a major issue with the original that was not fixed), and no decrease in natural wild rates on the water makes it basically a poor experience. That's one thing they did not need to emulate accurately. -_-

Still, out of context it's a pretty ridiculous complaint so read.
It's funny to apply it to games like Super Mario Sunshine, though (where water is the premise of the game)

I guess I'm one of the few people who actually didn't mind the amount of water in R/S/E. But I understand why people don't like it. I do think people who wanted the water to be fixed in the remakes wanted (or expected?) too much. GameFreak never fixes the things that aren't bugs in remakes that people already complained about when there were just the originals.

To be fair, Sunshine handled the water actually well. And I do not like the game at all(due to slippery controls, mainly. I'm not sure if they intended a water game to have slippery controls or not but it's hilarious in that way).

That said, the rest of R/S is great, but I very much hated the water areas. The worst part, imo, was the waves that forced your movement. That was horrid design and annoying as hell.

I have never played Ruby and Sapphire but I know for a fact water areas in Pokemon are not my thing, coupled with the lack of customizable avatars, I think I'll skip out on this one.

By the way
Dual roles do not care about NPC or playable differences. Sakurai has already confirmed that. Deal with it.

It's less Toys R Us and more Black Friday.
People will literally trample over others in order to get a sale. It's like putting a bunch of feral animals into one cage and watching what happens.
