i would like shadow, but my original game bias aims more for Tails or Knuckles.

Well okay then, Tails.

He's always with Sonic and shares most of his abilities plus being a wizard with technology and what not. He'd have more potential than Shadow who's so similar to Sonic anyway.

I don't want a second character for the Sonic series if it can only be one more, as my heart lies with Alex Kidd. Otherwise I'd choose Knuckles or Metal Sonic. Double points for Vector or Death Egg Robot.

I hope that, some day, the Smash 4 AI will be updated to be not as horribly bad.

At least some of them try to up-Smash out of shield. Other than that they literally (as in figuratively) cannot punish.
