So little surprise happened, I left my home today instead of tomorrow. So I am right now at my apartment and I started to unpack enough to have stuff ready.

I start my classes next Monday

It assists us in discerning the myriad conventions and devices in writing and mediums. With these, we gain the feeling of satisfaction once we understand those things and connect them to works and the world around us, hopefully getting to the point where we can think in a critical manner about new themes and the techniques of the creators.
This is the joy of learning about arts that we love in a very tangible, immediate way.

I mean don't take me wrong, I agree with you, but the question was, "who do you want", and to be honest I think that despite the odds, DER would be a cool playable character.
