It may have been more emotional when I first played it because I was younger. But even now as I'm playing it currently, the story still holds up amazingly. Now that I'm older, I can now really appreciate the game for what it is.

Okay, the game is kinda garbage but this song is too good.

To most fans, yes, due to the character development and how story-driven these games are. Explorers in particular made it look emotional.

It's kinda hard to say which Pokémon I love the most as there's too many. But some I have a certain heart for:

- Celebi
- Pichu
- Espeon
- Chespin
- Ho-OH
- The Chikorita family
- The Porygon family
- Missingno. (it's a Pokémon in my book)

The Klink line is actually one of my favorite pokemon evolutionary lines ever.
I've always loved gears, so Klink was PERFECT.

I was 15 when PMD2 came out.
I watched a video of the ending of the first PMD back around 2006 (uploader was named Jizg, I think)

Didn't get interested in PMD2 until I heard there was a Grovyle character who was apparently a villain in the story and saw a screencap of the first anime special for it.

But yeah, played the game (Explorers of Time version), experienced the music and the story, and the feelz were real. Wouldn't have had such a connection with the game if I wasn't such a fan of the Treecko line, to be honest.

Oh, hey, Pokémon talk.
The Explorers game were fantastic. Honestly, I think they're even better than most of the main games. Gameplay was great, music was amazing, even if it was limited to the DS' instruments, and the story was easily the best in the entire franchise (though the Rescue games come close). It is a shame how Gates was such a let down though.

Yeah, I know I missed a couple details on him. I was also kinda crunched on time when I was making it, but I did the best I could with the time I had. I noticed the missing sideburns pretty much after I finished.

Gates was indeed a letdown compared to Explorers, yes, but it's not Superman 64 levels of bad. At least its soundtrack is good.

"vs. Rayquaza" from the Rescue games is amazing as ****.

Hopefully, Super Mystery Dungeon can be as good as Explorers. I won't push my expectations too high. From what I have seen it seems like a good game, but who knows.
