Ah. I had to sing a song in Welsh called Myfanwy. It's a pretty interesting language, I'll tell you that.I imagine you'll have easier time with Welsh, as it also a Celtic language like Irish.
Aw. Well, good luck with Italian.
--------------------
And I just submitted a Hindi translation for a YouTube video. This is quickly becoming a serious business for me.
They are, however, different sub-families, and the difference is more extreme than, say, German vs. English. An English speaker might be able to make sense of the equivalent phrase in German ("I drink water" vs. "Ich trinke Wasser"), but an Irish speaker would not at all understand the equivalent in Welsh ("ólaim uisce" vs. "dw i'n yfed dŵr" - the sentence isn't even constructed the same way). The similarities are very limited.I imagine you'll have easier time with Welsh, as it also a Celtic language like Irish.
Now not to be offensive, but are you implying that someone speaks this?"ólaim uisce" vs. "dw i'n yfed dŵr"
These are actual languages, yes. The former is Irish, and the latter is Welsh. I'm close to fluent in Irish, and, while I don't know much Welsh, I'm familiar enough with some of its mechanics and vocabulary to know how it compares to Irish. Now not to be offensive, but are you implying that someone speaks this?
Makes it hard to think that all of them are part of the same family. I used think they were at least as similar as English/German, but I guess not. I guess English/Icelandic is a better comparison. They are, however, different sub-families, and the difference is more extreme than, say, German vs. English. Of course Catalan is further distinct, being Romance rather than Celtic, I was just surprised someone actually bothered to make even part of an Irish > Catalan course.
edit: also, yes, that (ŵ) is indeed a W with a circumflex. W is treated as a vowel (pronounced sort of like "oo"), the circumflex acts as a sign to indicate it is lengthened. Welsh is a bit of an odd language like that; W doesn't even exist natively in Irish. You also have multiple instances of Y being pronounced like U, and vice versa (like the Welsh name for Wales, Cymru).
Well, like I said before, learning fluent Chinese will consume your soul and drag you to the depths of hell. I am not joking…Makes it hard to think that all of them are part of the same family. Just got back from a friends place. I got you and Fal added.
It looks more like a Half Life 2 icon to me than a Fallout icon, don't worry.
Just warning you in advance: this is NOT a Fallout icon (though it looks like one). It's a Vocaloid icon

As for the language conversation, I'd be interested in learning Japanese myself, as well as Spanish, Portugese, Italian, Russian, Dutch, Mandarin and French. Out of all those, the ones that are top priority for me would be Spanish and French (French mostly because I'm a Franceophile and plus too it'd be useful when visiting places like France itself or French Canada, and Spanish for mostly the same reasons as France, except I'm also a Spainophile and the Spanish language would be useful when visiting Spain itself or Mexico. )
I mean, Mandarin Chinese has nearly a billion speakers. Are most of them in hell?Well, like I said before, learning fluent Chinese will consume your soul and drag you to the depths of hell. I am not joking…
There are also different dialects depending on which region you are in. As native speaker learning Classic Chinese poems and linguistic was like hell to me. As for foreigners you need to know which kind of Chinese you should use, and what kind of phonic system to use. Me I use Zhuyingfuhao, a Chinese's alphabet chart. And even you know modern Chinese grammar doesn't mean you can understand Chinese ancient poems and stories.I mean, Mandarin Chinese has nearly a billion speakers. Are most of them in hell?
Well, the classical/ancient form of any language is hell for modern speakers. Sanskrit is just as hard for me, with its huge number of cases and inflections. I think Classical Chinese is as different from Modern Chinese as Sanskrit is from Hindi. There are also different dialects depending on which region you are in. And with billions of people speak Mandarin, learning Chinese might be necessary over the next few years. A lot if Mandarin speakers are using Simplified Chinese, I used Traditional Chinese that has more strokes.

Just a suggestion, but maybe you should give him more than just wrenches. A hammer and a screwdriver, maybe?I just posted this in the DR and decided to post it here.

Emcee's childhood friend and both the sniper and mechanic of Team PHANTASY, it's Mic!
Wrenches are his go to tool and occasional melee weapon, but they pretty much only signify his status as the team's mechanic and engineer.Just a suggestion, but maybe you should give him more than just wrenches. A hammer and a screwdriver, maybe?
