Speaking of old vidja, I got a small story (that I may or may have not already told). I got my first video game console, the Gamecube, when I was five. I had your basic assortment of games with it (Sunshine, Melee, and Wind Waker) and all the good stuff. The only thing was that for around two years I never understood the grasp of those games when it came to the start button. Especially with those games that you had to specifically press it to play, I would still not understand that the start button (outside of pause) was the purpose of that. I would literally mash buttons all the time until I eventually pressed it, thinking you had to start playing the game but putting in a specific combo.
What's more embarrassing as a bonus was that I was stuck on the first level of Super Mario Sunshine, the Delfino Airstrip, until I was about ten when I revisited the game. You may be asking "Literally how, you magnificent Lovecraftian beast of a man?", and I have your answer.
Five years of not being able to progress through the most basic level was because I never ran into FLUDD. Not once, not ever, and I have no idea how I was unable to do it. I could not make this up if I tried.
A 3DSXL and a Wii.
ayyy, this man knows what's up.
