Although I myself never really cared about playing it, I do still think it's a shame that Project M has ceased it's development.

_________

Regarding Samurai Jack: HYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE.

It's been way too long since he last appeared in animation. Same goes for Aku.

I'm assuming that there's going to be a front page news article here on SmashBoards about the leak at some point, yes?

Thread title changed.

I'm very happy to see Samurai Jack coming back.

Probably not. Linking to he leaked build is forbidden.

But who knows.

It's enough to get a generation of fans excited during a rather unpleasant day.

So, yes.

Wasn't there supposed to be a fourth newcomer alongside Lyn, Isaac, & Knuckles in Project M? Or is my memory just bad?
On Samurai Jack: Having never watched it, I'm somewhat psyched to watch it, but not much. But eh, I'm expecting it to at the very least be a little better than most of the other forgettable animated shows these days.

Watch the original.

You'll appreciate the return a whole lot more.

So I made something to prove to myself I can still draw after doing Team Phantasy stuff. (Newsflash: Team Phantasy currently looks like ****.)

It is one of the classic cartoons we grew up with back when CN was at its prime.

It's definitely good.

I remember it as a kid, and while I understood the story and loved the Scotsmen, like Batman:TAS I think I'd enjoy it more as an adult now that I can fully appreciate the artstyle, drama, and humor.

It definitely stood out among the golden age of Cartoon Network shows. I just hope it doesn't turn out like the sorta reboot seasons of Dexter's Lab, PowerPuff Girls, or Ed Edd' Eddy.

Definitely going to make it next on my watch list after Astro Boy and Gravity Falls. It's great to see the creator be in charge of it's return.

Samurai Jack definitely stood out among the older classic CN cartoons. And given how good of a cartoon selection it had back then that's saying something.

I never did catch every episode, but I'm sure they're available online, so I oughta take a day to watch every one of em to help hype up for the new series. :p

I do have a distinct memory of some episodes, though. Like this one with robots that had slender bodies with glowing red eyes.

The best part about Samurai Jack coming back is that the creator is also going to work on it. So we at least know that it's in good hands. I remember enjoying the original a ton back when I was younger and seeing it finally come back is simply wonderful news to me and a lot of other people. They can also finally continue where they left off and give it a proper conclusion.

KissCartoon is now my #1 Cartoon streaming source. I've used it to shamelessly binge 4 seasons of Daria.

Turn off AdBlock if you have it.

I'm just glad Super Smash Flash 2 has never gotten any legal threats since it began development almost 10 years ago.

And it's getting closer to its final build.

But SSF2 isn't using modded content on software created by Nintendo.

To be fair, SSF2 is not a mod and is nowhere as big as Project M.
Project M was large enough to be considered as its own separate instalment and could brag about having a quality comparable to an AAA Nintendo title.

This is best thread title
I remember when Samurai Jack first aired; that series was pure hype for me, it looked simple but at the same time innovative, I think it was one of the first series that didn't used a black outline on the characters. The sound effects, the battles, the comedy bits, the use of roman numerals to number the episodes

I think I'll go to scream a little bit more in excitement

Why didn't any of the Smash gods seek me out and give me a vision quest, leading me to discover that Mario is freaking amazing until now? Omg I just started him today and he already feels like my best character.

True, but one thing I don't understand the other original fan game, SSB Crusade, has been told at both APEX 2015 and Smash Con that, while they can still bring/show the game at the event, but have been told they weren't allowed to stream unlike they did the past couple years.

Still trying to find an answer to that, especially since Crusade isn't a popular as Flash.

I never watched Samurai Jack but I heard it was a excellent cartoon. Is it a reboot or continuation?
If only this news happened to the original Teen Titans cartoon as well.

We don't really know but the latter is likely.

The new Samurai Jack does seem to be an Adult Swim program, though.

The series always was more violent and at times more mature than other CN cartoons though, and considering that it's original creator is also working on the new ones, I think I'll be okay with any new sort of direction they decide to take it into. :p

Glad they are bringing back Samurai Jack. Wonder who will voice Aku since Mako is no longer with us...

I remember that Jack (I think) was voiced by Mako(AKA Uncle Iroh) in the cartoon. I don't want to come off as insensitive or anything but who'll voice him since Mako is gone?

I'm pretty sure that it's going to be a continuation and likely how they're going to wrap the story up. I don't think it'd make much sense to reboot the series when the original still had loose ends to tie up.

Im ok if Samurai Jack takes a more mature tone
I remember that scene where he fights a bunch of robots and Jack gets covered in their oil

Not to mention several episodes had him receive very large cut and slice wounds around on his arm and chest areas.

....in fact, I can't seem to think of an episode where that didn't happen.

I think it'll be a bit like Legend of Korra: darker to appeal to the audience of the original show, but no really explicit violence that would scare off new viewers.

I never was a cartoon kind of person.
It was all about torturing myself with plastic balls through the world's thinnest courses back then.

I wonder if the animation will change drastically or remain the same for the new season. It's been years.

Are Lyn, Knuckles and Isaac actually complete characters or do they feel unfinished?
Is there a video out there showcasing their movesets?
