No, cross-dressing Link is cool, that is probably my favorite aspect about Triforce Heroes and I hope that they continue that general idea in future installments.

At first I thought it was all nice and stuff

But after watching it multiple times, I started to realize how mean spirited it is toward the '87 series turtles

Technically, Scream does this. The Ghostfaces from 2-4 are just copycats. But yeah, there isn't really any popular horror movie without a sequel. Makes sense if you think about it.

I'm sure people will find a way to use the checkpoints sadistically.

I thought about that too: use a trap door that teleports you to a checkpoint at the beginning of an area whose only purpose is to increase the length of the level (in other words, an area that leads you at the end to the level's usual starting point). No way I can't foresee troll abusing that.

Even though I'm hyped about those SMM updates like every other fan of the game, that announcement made me more pessimistic about a new Nintendo Direct soon. So I'm glad it was confirmed to happen this year. My guess would be at the end of November I suppose.

I disagree. You would just be adding the first female hero of time.

Link, as a character, isn't one person. He's divided by different incarnations that all happen to be boys. Adding a female link to the "series" of heroes isn't the same as changing his gender, because you're creating an entirely new individual.

At least, that's how I view it.
