So half the thread is okay with skype and half the thread apparently feels salty about the idea of having skype thrusted in their taut g-strings

Man sometimes I prefer a chat to the forums. Just a normal IRC chat would be fine. Even a crappy chatango.

No one is really salty, though. If not everyone is in for the idea of a Skype chat, that's them and their preferences.
I do wish stuff there was like... better. If you could post images and .GIFs without using the URL, but that's going to lag the **** out of you.

Those chat boxes you see on other forums and on hentai websites for some reason.

actually, completely opposite for me, I LOVE irc.

yes, it;s very complicated to learn and yes it is annoying if you don;t use a local client, but man, I love so much how quick it is

Yep. I'm not 100% against it. In fact, I'm cool with the idea / proposal or whatever it is. All I'm saying is, if it were to take effect, I would still be more active in this site compared to the application.
