Back in 5.0, I spoke to @Opossum if it was okay to make a private social thread group. He said yes, but it would have be in an uncategorized section. I'm pretty sure he still remembers.

Skype is doable, but it will nevertheless cut the activity of this thread.

Groups are threads though, just with the option of making them private or whatever. I'd certainly be the one to make it and invite you all, while keeping it private and not visible to everyone not in. But I'm still not sure.

I would check this and be idle on the IRC more often tbh.
I'd also like to be a mod of the IRC.
I already mod all the Smash channels on Twitch. :D

I think Skype is terrible. It will affect the activity of the Social Thread... Without the thread where else can i post my top quality banter? Why do we need a Skype group when we can post here?

Man, if someone wants to make an IRC or Skype and call it the Smash 4 social thread, what does it matter?
Again, I doubt it would decrease activity (that much) or be massively popular in the first place.

- Not to mention it is boring.
- You can't post the same way as you would on this thread.
- There's this huge advertisement banner at the right side of the screen which you cannot remove, but this is minor.

Feel free to disagree, but if you have me added on the service, do not remove the account without warning me.

One thing though.. I post very quick here. That is to simulate an IM service (like Skype). Oh, the irony.

So half the thread is okay with skype and half the thread apparently feels salty about the idea of having skype thrusted in their taut g-strings

Man sometimes I prefer a chat to the forums. Just a normal IRC chat would be fine. Even a crappy chatango.

Skype annoys me to the point my bowels move

Good thing I unistalled that thing, it hanged a lot and killed the fun Messenger used to be
