Pit's Upperdash KOs 4% sooner. Weird, but okay. No aerial change.

Arrow customs have consistent damage throughout the range, no noticeable changes.

Dark Pit's arrows KO 9% sooner at max charge, and 36% quicker with none. (Note to self, Piercing Bow kills at 161%.)

Guardian Orbitars come out quicker, Amplifing and Impact Orbitars are untouched. Previously Guardian and Amplifing had the same startup.
I had to check on Guardian Orbitars to see if you were telling the truth...I love you. Finally it's faster than it used to be.

Rapid jab is definitely more consistent. Rapid hits sucks opponents in massively, finisher appears to come out faster. CPUs are DIing in and escaping. :estatic:

Think I've done everything...

So let's discuss Peach's Castle 64. It was a counterpick in SSB64 so we should prepare for it being one in this game.

What do we think about the stage for Pit? Early impressions for me is that playing with the ledges on the moving platforms on the bottom is dangerous with our linear recovery. Reminds me of pre-patch Lylat Cruise in that we have to be very careful and very aware of firing where the stage is moving, not where it's at.

Not sure how viable it is, but if we're accurate, sourspot DAir can stage spike off the bottom of the slanted floating platforms.

For Dark Pit, I couldn't get Electroarm to consistently ricochet regular Pit off of the slanted platforms on the topmost flast platform. The only time I could get it done was with Pit 1 standing at the lowest point of the decline of the railroad tracks on the right side of the stage. The richochet occurs from 110% and above. And yes, you can tech off of these platforms. But overall, it's not a huge issue to be concerned about on that level.

For the lower level, I ricocheted Pit off of the left slanted platform at 100% with the Electroarm. This occurs on the checkerboard part of the lower platform as well as on the red stairs on the left. The opponent won't make contact with the platform if you Electroarm him from the right red platform. I assume the same is true for the opposite sides since they're symmetrical. So be cautious when using the Electroarm on the middle the lower level.

And yes, these platforms do move.

Of course, rapid jab, GO, and DAir are consistent for both Pits?

If only I didn't have to wait till Saturday to get the stages. They look so much fun going off by Gamexplain. I do think it could be a counterpick as long as noone tries to throw others onto the bumper.

Actually, hold up, slight amendment. So apparently you can go through the bottom of the moving platform on the bottom of the stage, so it's like Delfino and Halberd in that respect. That's a relief.
:4pit:confirmed high/top tier cause Sakurai

The bumper moves so in order to be successful throwing people into it, you kinda gotta know the stage

I hope it's a counterpick. I hate Ness and it just seems like this stage is the type to mess him up

Rapid Jab buff? Finally, that's what I've been wanting since Vanilla.

Did someone say uncharged arrows kill... 36% quicker with DP? What?

If the stage can help deal with annoying Ness players and has great music, I'll make this a legal stage in every tournament I make.

One of its tracks--"Slide" I love. But the other four is just the usual Mario music variations. Plus a pretty nostalgic theme from Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3.
Slide? You mean the level with you racing a penguin? If so, I'm loving it already.

The wooden octagon-shaped platform... Can you get caught underneath? If not then this looks like a fun stage.

Forgot to buy Dreamland with the last batch, heh heh. Not seeing a bundle of N64 stages... Ah well. I'll buy 'em tomorrow.

Doof, posting the original Silver Bow Numbers would be nice. Originally kills at 495% no charge, now 464%. Max was 224% down to 215%. Not entirely sure why it don't kill much quicker at max, but I'll look into it.

And tell Lumen hi for me. :bluejump:

224 to 115? That's pretty insane. They're actually viable off the top and side now; maybe they'll catch an unalert opponent.

And she said hi back, ha.

Uh, I didn't play Mario 64 but...

Yes, this is it

Yeah, you can get caught under that platform.

And wow, Palutena's Bow kills at 115%?? That can't be right!

Dark Pit untouched but Pit gets a bunch of buffs? No, that can't be right.

Guess we'll be waiting for the weekend for Lancer's confirmations.
Guess Sakurai loves Pit more than Dark Pit

Orbitars are faster, haven't heard anything about fast arrows though
Which is dumb as ****. I don't see what's the point of creating clones if they're just going to be inferior in every way to the original.

Need Lancer to confirm. I doubt this is true.
He has said in the past that he wants Kid Icarus to be a popular franchise so that someone can continue his work after Uprising. That's why they have 3 characters, 3 stages, the most dialogue, all those items, trophies, enemies, some of the best music, and KIU insprations.

Maybe Pit reminds Sakurai of his childhood or something, explaining why he wants people to continue the series.

Doesn't really have anything to do with making a clone that has no advantages over the original whatsoever. Even Lucas is good at at least one thing that Ness isn't good at. Would be silly to buff Pit but not touch Dark Pit. What does that accomplish?

Sure, I'm all for Nintendo appealing to more than the competetitve scene, but damn, give Dark Pit fans more of a reason to play with him than "well, I like him".

Hm? Already said Dark Pit had changes, but the data somehow says otherwise... You can see the Dair and rapid jab changes quite clearly.

Pit's grounded arrows have three frames taken off the endlag, can't test for Dark Pit until tonight when I get to my wavebirds. Proof: http://gfycat.com/ImpeccableFantasticInganue Aerial endlag is the same I'm sure.

Also, got my amiibo for free. Played this guy up front a few rounds then he bet me he could win the next round. Other then getting a stage desinc ruining the first round, I two-stocked him.

Pit high tier because of GO's...?
I heard there were other buffs besides that and the infinite jab. Plus the fact that alot of characters were nerfed, like Falcon, DeDeDe, Meta Knight, Pacman(sorta), and Fox(sorry Shofu).

Either GOs lost a single frame of startup or Kurogane is wrong... Shields come out on 8, down from supposedly 9. Remembered the training mode method. Can't find any SA either.

Looking a little closer right now.

Edit: Whelp, placebo'd it. Frame 8 attacks beat it, blocks frame 9.
