Sin and punishment sequel is being created for the Wii. To be published by Nintendo and will be released early 2009. A small hint by a camo in SSBB gave it away? http://ve3d.ign.com/videos/play/3816...d-Punishment-2
<-- Link to the video. What do you think?

My thoughts? Obviously sensor aiming rail arcade shooter. It probably will keep the basic aspects of the first game (rolling ect). I'm also guessing a online leader board? Guessing...

I don't know who owns the rights to Sin and Punishment, but I hope Treasure is doing the sequel.

The game looks pretty good.

Hopefully the jetpack will be a good thing. This game kinda reminds me of Space Harrier.

And hopefully, if it's good, it WILL be bought even though it's not Mario or Zelda. o.o

This game looks great. I'm gonna have to buy the first one off of the VC so I understand the story.
Good luck with that.

Trying to understand the plot of S&P in-game is like trying to understand the last 2 episodes of evangelion, the ending of 2001: a space oddesey, the overall plot to SoulTaker, and Killer 7 at the same time. Just use the internet.

However, you SHOULD buy it because it's an awesome game, and a must-have to any VC collection.

:urg: I hate confusing storys..... Okay thats a lie but still, it's annoying to have to look on the internet to understand something.

So far on Wii we've gotten:

-A new classic Megaman game

-A new Wario Land game

-A new Punch Out game

-A new Sin & Punishment game

This is the era of old-school comebacks, and I'm lovin' it.

This game came out in Japan not too long ago, anyone seen the gameplay or played the game to tell it's good? Or do anyone know how the Wifi works?

wifi is for score rankings (lol hacks)

-multiple control options (wiimote + nunchuk, classic controller, GC, wiizapper attachment <--- stupidest addon ever).
-wiimote + nunchuk you can aim freely (a la metroid prime 3 or RE4)
-Treasure remains to be a badass company
-2 player co-op i believe remains to be the same as the 1st game (or relate to mario galaxy's co-star option). one player moves, and other shoots, but dunno about simultaneous play

currently snagging a copy and gonna play it in a moment. but i know it will be balls harder and easier cuz of wiimote + nunchuk, but whoever wants to stay pure can play with controllers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsTFyou_OXI (video example)

edit:

-7 stages including stage 0.
-you can only continue with the same character u started with, switching will force u to start the game from the very beginning
-Isa (male lead) is direct shooting and his charge shot is a AOE bomb
-female lead (forgot name) is all homing shots and targeted charge shot (you aim and release your shot).
-every stage is about 10-15 minutes long (longer if u keep dying)
-multiple bosses to battle per stage

Wifi Rankings?!? I was hoping for online co-op, oh well at least it still has co-op I believe.

Sounds like a challenging Wii game the Wii needs, I just wish the US didn't get it next year. T_T
