The unofficial sequel to "Falcon is the best character in the game". <3 Cort

Edit 09/08/09: I think I'll convert this into a thread of highly situational, not very efficient Falcon techniques.

1: upB connects even when the opponent is on the ground.
2: Aerial Falcon Kick knocks the opponent down at 0%. Leads into an upB if they don't tech or anything.
3: Edgecancelled bairs to edge hogs are a good mindgame. You hit them if they miss the sweetspot, you grab the edge if they try to sweetspot because they see you bairing the edge.
4: upB is decent for platform techchasing. It's a minimally efficient way to attack people who get up-shield to try to prevent platform techchase aerials.
5: If you dropzone, it means you grabbed them at the edge. Instead, try to edge cancel a knee into another knee or a stomp.
6: When you grab the edge, you can release and uair and just barely recover to grabbing the edge. The timing is tough. It's a useful gimp against spacies when they are close to the edge. You can also use it to hit opponents as they upB through the edge.
7: Falcon Kick clanks with Marth's dtilt and even his fsmash sometimes. You end up right in range to grab or gentleman him.
8: Retreating edgecancelled stomps to uairs or bairs (depending on which way you are facing) are rapeeeeee. People have a habit of trying to punish the lag in stomps, so edgecancelling leaves a nice little surprise to their face.
9: Full jump stomps can catch the head of shffl happy opponents.
10. Right when you initiate your upB, there is a small window where you can make your upB turn the other way. If your reflexes are good enough, you can change your mind to upB away if you think it won't connect.
11. Instead of running at someone and shffl kneeing them, run and short hop at them. upB at point blank range at their shield when they were expecting an aerial. Only follow-up-able at around 100% when they are at the edge.
12. Raptor boost is awesome when it doesn't hit your opponent on YS, Brinstar, and Green Greens. When you hit the the stage obstacle, the hitbox is created. Try to get your opponent to jump into the flames instead of getting ***** by Fox's nair outprioritizing the preflame dash.
13. When people land on Randall and see you coming at them, they will generally shield. upB is a punish when you're in the air approaching them.
14. When Sheik is starting upB, do it and the same time as her right next to her. You will catch her during her vulnerable frames if you aim it right. Good only if she doesn't edgetech.
15. In Falcon dittos, an upward forward tilt outprioritizes nair.
16. The blocks on Green Greens can cancel aerial Falcon Kicks.
17. Sometimes the best option against a Peach ****** you offstage is to just kamikaze Raptor Boost her.

Contribute to the list!

First of all, you guys are playing with a finite number of stocks.

Second, you use stages other than Yoshi's Story.

As the co-star of "Falcon is the best character in this game," I don't think the two videos really belong in the same category.

2:50 was amazing though.

Of course, your video is the amazing original. A sequel based with the same rules would end up being stale rather quickly though. There are many inferior sequels already available on youtube with players much less creative and entertaining than you and Cort. I played on other stages to diversify the Falcon insanity.

I think the main point is just to demonstrate how awesome Falcon dittos are <3 YS will always be my favorite level too.

P.S.

Stolen from Darkrain:
As a lulzy mix-up for getting back on stage after grabbing the ledge, waveland and immediately raptor boost.

Stolen from Scar:
Edgeguard spacies with a falling uair, then slam dunk raptor boost them after they start their up-B again.

Stolen from SS:
Moonwalk into a stomp against recoveries like Peach's; it covers much more area than a normal jump-off stomp.

It also occurs when a character falls off a platform/stage by using a special move, like if Roy used his flareblade against a shield and slid off the stage, if he gets attacked while recovering from sliding off, Roy will get spiked.

I think that's what happened in the vid too.

hey jet, howd that Falcon only tourney you did a while back turn out?
It was pretty fun, even though only about 8 people actually entered. There was a rule that any Falcon Kick K.O. resulted in an automatic win. Forward beat me on Corneria using that rule haha.

-Jab-jab-upB is better than Gentleman against shields.
-Aerial Falcon Kick is good at people that have a little bit of shield left and aim their shield high: when they get hit the aim the shield high, but the second hit knocks them off of their exposed feet.

Pointless tip: Try ground Falcon Kicking the top fin at Venom ;)

So I decided to add some old Tucson Falcon Dittos here. They're good to learn some random situational mindgames ;) The vids are outdated. Chris and I will get our polished Falcon vids up soon full of all sorts of wild antics and sandbagging.

This one is a contestant for most situational ever:

Everyone probably knows that you can dash attack near the edge then walljump immediately afterward (hold opposite direction during animation, then just walljump when falcon drops, doesn't work on every stage). BUT you can also do it with falcon kick.
You have to be at the right range and hit (won't work ever if whiffed AFAIK). If you have just enough range to reach the edge, you'll drop while the animation finishes. Hold towards the stage and time yourself correctly and there you go, Falconkick -> Walljump. Other than being hilarious and leet mindgames, it's really pointless because it's so hard to pull off consistently.

I experimented a little to see if this could lead into combos, but from what I can see the only one that works is edge-cancelled falcon kick or whatever -> uair, you don't even need to walljump (but it still combos if you do it). Gotta be at highish percentage, will usually finish 'em off if it connects.

Other than that, if you hit with the first hitbox of falcon kick (which sends away rather than up) then I guess the walljump can help give you extra range for a ridiculous edgeguard.
