Social Shulk Social : Starting to feel it!

I've owned this game since spring of 2014, but this is still very good! The more availability the better.

I just knew one day the game would be released on the eShop!! (just hope I don't cry over the reasonable eShop price compared to how much I paid for mine... Then again, having a physical copy of one of the greatest JRPGs has way more sentimental value)

I got the Wii version of Xenoblade right when it came out, and I'm glad that I picked it up when I did. Digital copies are nice, but a tangible copy is great to place on a shelf and reminisce on the good times it provided. Xenoblade is my second or third favorite game ever (number one will probably always be Fire Emblem Seisen no Keifu, which I also played an original copy of).

Is Shulk really considered a difficult character to learn? He kinda clicked with me immediately. I just needed a day to practice and I was good. That might just be me though since I'm not much of a Smash player myself.

Well I payed $65 for a "used" copy of Xenoblade, so I'm expecting the eshop price to be right around $149.99.

I paid $90 for a "used" Gamestop copy. There was some weird controversy about that. That's actually how I heard about XC in the first place, so I'm weirdly grateful for it.

I've considered buying XC on the eShop, to support it, but eh. I'm definitely getting that preorder bundle for XCX.

Re: Rosa: there might have been Luma changes, unsure if those have been mined. Same goes for Olimar.

Re: Ganon: literally just camp him out. Like mentioned, his approach options are dash attack, Side B, Down B, and maybe RAR Bair; you can literally just wait for him to move and then fsmash him. It's really easy. Shield mode helps too because you won't die at 90%.

I never said he is mid low tier. In fact I believe he is at least high tier. I said he's generally considered mid or low tier (just look at the voted tier list here on Smashboards) and I'm not surprised by it if like the only footage of Shulk is from a top 8 EVO player who is supposed to be good but that clearly sucks with him.

So I went to a Customs Farce Tournament yesterday. Horribly organised, but anyway, I got to play around with Shulk's Customs for once.

I feel like Decisive Arts is really match-up dependent. If I'm playing against someone campy then I can have Speed for all eternity. But at the same time it makes stuff like Shield really risky. Not sure if I'm a fan, but the option's nice.
Hyper Arts, oh my god. Hyper Smash too good. Have them return to the stage, land 3-4 Hyper Buster hits for >60%.
Advancing Air Slash is better than I thought (not a fan of the downward movement though.) When recovering it lets me avoid bowling balls and double springs.
I've played around with Power Vision in the past but I love that it can just swap momentum straight away. If you're losing %-wise you can hit them with a rage Power Vision and take their stock instead.

It's possible to use Hyper arts in Home-Run Contest, but ya have to find a HRC challenge in Master Orders. Just imagine Hyper Buster + Hyper Smash with Home-Run Bat.

I know you probably already know this. But you do not need to get a Wii U for $300.
Nintendo is selling the refurbished(Nintendo's refurbished systems are as good as new) Wii U's for only $200.
I know that $200 is still a lot of money, but it still is a lot cheaper than $300.

Hey guys, I'll be going to a big french tournament tomorrow! Will probably be going all Shulk as usual (I might use Ness/Charizard against characters I struggle against lately, namely Fox and Diddy... I'm not sure yet, I'll probably just use Shulk for game 1 anyway and switch if I lose too badly)

I think I've gotten better at playing patiently since my last tournaments and I feel that my use of Jump art has improved too so I'm pretty excited to see how far I can go this time :D I wish I had practiced MADTD more before going though :/

Granted, it was on the WiiU tourney mode (on FD), and I don't think I've never fought a good Zelda before, but still...

Try playing around more and see if your habits and playstyle still works on other opponents or better ones (depends). If it ain't working, try making some changes.

And yeah, Cosmo is really good with Zelda. Lol. I remember watching his Zelda back in Melee (It was amazing stuff)

Holy arceus I have some treats for you guys. I found this guy that played shulk and did almost nothing but backslash. I got 3 videos of him and his "amazing" Shulk skills. I'm uploading the vids now, but I'll post them here all at once as a trilogy. I wasn't playing my best and there was lag so I did play kinda bad for my normal standards.
