Just remembered that this new update will likely mean, once again, all saved replays are going to be unplayable.

My roommates and I just recently invested in a capture card, so anyone who doesn't have a one and has some WiiU replays they really want immortalized, PM me, add me as a friend, and send them to me! I'll be sure I record them all before I install the update, but the upload to Youtube might be a little longer.

Also prayer circle for frame buffs :>

As soon as the servers aren't overloaded with traffic, I'll do the update & search the hell out of any changes I can notice. I think this is 1.0.8 too btw

Testing right now. MALLC is still in confirmed.
Full jab combo still doesn't work on Jigglypuff ;_;
Buster's damage properties still the same.

Don't think Shulk got changed at all.

I currently see no changes with Monado Arts Decisive Arts & Hyper Arts. Each of their Art's duration, cooldowns, & damages seem untouched. Other customs feel the same too. Power Vision is still silly.:shades:

So far I don't see much changes if any at all for Shulk.

Oh yeah. There are changes. Check the knockback values and damage. Check shield's defense. Check jump's defense. Check buster's defense.

To know if Smash art's KB boost was buffed, just test it on a 150% level 1 Mario. Activate smash art and use any attack then quit, check the base knockback at the results screen (keep scrolling) then compare it to the previous version.

Things to test with Shulk's arts:
- Buster's defense nerf
- Speed's damage nerf
- Smash's knockback buff
- Jump's defense nerf
- Shield's mobility nerf

Okay, so just to make sure this is right, Max Launcher Speed is the KB value I'm looking for? Because Vanilla Dash Attack on Mario at 150% is 80. . .& when we have 150% Rage the KB increases to 93

Smash Art Dash Attack is 93, while 150% Rage Smash Art Dash Attack is 106. I really hope I'm wrong

DA's KB wasn't changed

Shield defense unchanged
Buster defense unchanged
Speed is the same
Shield is pretty much the same

KB TESTS WILL COME NEXT

Frame data is still the same for everything (tilts, smashes, aerials) for both startup and endlag.

Didn't make gfys since they can take a while and I'm kind of busy atm but I can get some if requested.

I've went with trying out his autocancels already.

Shulk can still only Full Hop F-air, that's his only autocancel. Unless you want to count canceling FH D-air or U-air's landing lag with a Special move like Air Slash, he's got nothing.

So with the recent maintenance going on, apparently Ver. 1.0.9 is already out but I assume it was just server maintenance,. . .or even a Power Vision nerf.

No replay changes, so no gameplay changes. They said it was for a better experience; other than the godawful UI the only thing I can think of is the finicky Smash online connecting. Hopefully that was what got fixed.

Edit: everything feels the same to me. MALLC still in. Deactivation buffer stuff recently posted still works

Edit2: backslash was so bad I literally forgot it existed. Yay it looks like we did get a buff!

So I was testing Ness' Bthrow and good news for you guys.
Prepatch: Shield Shulk dies with optimal DI on the close-side of FD at 122%.
That's now 138%
Far-side went from 221% to 225%.
So something to look into, I guess.
Edit: standard Shulk dies at the same percents, so if I had to guess I'd say shield (or maybe all the arts?) was buffed.
