Should I main Mr Game and Watch?

Should i main him?Hes got great smash attacks and specials,BUT he's almost as light as Jiggs,and is (dundundun..)TOP TIER!!

Should i main him,or just stick with my Low tier friends?

good priority
most of his attacks are powerful
he's light so he can space well
Bair=win
recovery is just great for an attack or as a life saver

only downsides is that he can be killed at a low% 100-
but a good G&W can last around 120%

if you're going competitive ,maining a high tier character would be advised or at least be familiar with them
G&W is a good choice IMO

It's hard to win tournaments with G&W because your bad matchups happen quite often:

MK
Snake
Marth

G&W takes a lot of practice to learn what combos into what. Lots of experience. So if you like a silly character that jumps around a lot and requires a lot of concentration on spacing, then by all means go for it.

G&W is not a top tier character.

He wins against Falco and DDD, and nobody else in the lower tiers can really handle him except Marth. I'd say he's still top...in that he limits so many other characters from winning (he has broken edgecamping to answer everything moreover, much like Metaknight does). And he's undeniably broken in teams....which is competitive.

2.) Seems that there are more GaW secondaries than mains

If you main G&W, make sure you have a secondary that can cover your bad matchups, as all four are commonly used in tournaments. And make sure you practice spacing, as G&W is one of the hardest characters to use well. But yes, I'd recommend maining G&W.
