Shiek and Nair

Shiek likes Nair because it makes shaving easy! Ninja's can't be running around with body hair slowing then down. And princesses can't be seen with body hair.

Anyways, I like Nair a lot. I think it is a Sex Kick (it stays out long, comes out fast, blah blah blah) and it has a big hotbox (it can hit from behind her too.) It can also autocancel if you use it low enough to the ground.

I want to know what you all think about this move as an approach option. It has a lot of range and a wide hitbox so I think it is good to get in a hit against people with disjointed hixboxes like Marth and D3. Its lagless unlike Fair and easier to use than Bair.

I think it's highly underrated. Or at least not used as much as it should.

SHFFN-air sweetspot out of a Sheild works wonders at close ranges. Perfect set up for edgeguarding.

I don't personally think it's the best approach. Good but not the best. If you're going to sweetspot then you're already close so you can't approach. The sourspot is still strong enough to semi-link to another attack.

Kill move if saved
Great to use rising Nairs as its hard to punish (can't be shield grabbed)
Soft Nairs lead to everything
Nair out of tilt lock

Does not replace Bair as your spacing move (range is shorter priority is lower)
Is not a good approach in itself because a shielded Strong Nair (that is meant to be auto canceled) is really easy to punish (only 1 hit box)
Soft Nairs are easy to powershield -> shield grab

Nair ***** air dodges / spot dodges... Nair amazing

N-Air into F-Tilt-Lock or Jab Combo.
N-Air to edgeguard.
N-Air to space.
N-Air to do surprise kills.
N-Air for the win.

Easy as that.

F-Air has no landing lag by the way and is actually a better edgeguarding attack than N-Air. B-Air being more efficient than F-Air is debatable. A full jump N-Air is a good way to attack someone on the platform above you by the way. Jump button and A have to be pressed at almost the same time to make use of this rather defensive attack if your opponent is on the ground.

fair vs nair approach goes something like this

nair has a longer activation time - it's auto cancel feature is great if you hit them - but if the move is blocked (and you do your nair to auto cancel) you hit them on your way up and you're pretty much stuck with nowhere to go but "get punished"land. With fair you can fade in and out much quicker - it has much more range than most people think - you can avoid being punished if you use it early (generally speaking) and even if you use it at some of the latest frames a jab can still save you from many forms of punishment. Using a neutral at the appropriate time to AUTOCANCEL it CAN lead into things depending on percent but if you are blocked and aren't actually FADING with the move it's just going to get you punished.

and lol @ nair legs pictures

Its always been like this for me, Fair is my approach (a rare approach btw) and Nair as my kill move. I throw in a few falling Nairs at random when I feel like it :p Speaking of Nair, i usually do an awesome F-tilt -> Fair (repeated at low percents if im lucky) but does F-tilt -> Nair work ?

i claim nair already geez

offtopic: nair is very good for killing or a get out of there move. Don't use it as an approach much though since fair does that better

I love Fair too.

I try to keep it fresh for gimping, since my Bair is usually always stale =/

I need to stop switching to Zelda for the kill, I am the worst Zelda in the world and very predictable. I guess I'll just wait until 200% to get a K.O. (Sorry for going off topic).
