I know for a fact the header can't since it's a static picture where the content bars are basically "left side" "lots of middle parts" "right side"

So you'd have to change the picture to either that thing you just said or just make it wider and hope it doesn't break some people's skins?

Alright, so some new features on Smashboards!

You can now find a "custom post color" field in the Edit Details section. If you set it like so:

...all of your posts will be set to that color! (color tags will override it)

This, of course, prompts some new settings in the Edit Options section.

It only stifles the color set in user CP, though, so it won't retroactively kill custom colors, since the ones before were all set manually by color tags.

Yea, I just saw that.

ETERNAL SADNESS

Well, once the feature becomes advertised enough, they'll all be gone. Finally.

Question.

Once disabled, does that mean I still have to deal with [OBTRUSIVECOLORCODE] if I quote people? Or is that gone as well?

plzplzplzplzplzbegone

I'm so happy about this.

Since you meanies won't give me a purple postbit, I can at least have purple posts.

My question is, WHY isn't my posts coming off as PLUM to me when I post?

What am I doing wrong in this feature? I've followed all the guidelines (Which there isn't much to follow) and yet my posts don't come off as PLUM.

:(

That's what happens when I suck at copy-pasting.
Issue resolved for all skins based on Smash Blue or Classic Blue. Sorry about that.

Test post for you. Using classic blue.

I like what I'm seeing. Keep it up, SWF

Whether you've got custom colours enabled or disabled it won't have colour tags when quoting people.

Not sure about other people but I'm not able to see some people's coloured posts (including my own) like Spelt and Zajice's but when I browse on my phone I can.

I'm able to see Kinzer, brickbox and Espy's coloured posts though.

(I'm using Smash Blue skin if that helps)

Also, is it possible to incorporate this on VM walls and in Social Groups?

edit: It might have something to do with them using custom colours, cause I'm using one too.

I dunno if it matters, but I'm posting from another computer and my color worked fine until I did.

But right now, my posts are white.

That's odd. Can you tell me what browsers you're using? Everything looks fine from my end.

Okay, I know the problem, and it's pretty silly.

Firefox apparently requires the # before the hex for it to be counted as a valid hex color.
Chrome doesn't.
Internet Explorer doesn't either.

There were similar oddities I noticed during early implementation too (font color blank staying default on some browsers, while turning to black on others).

I assume this is going to be a thing the users have to watch out for and won't be auto-corrected or anything?

At the moment I can't think of any way to do the detection automatically.

I'd say disable impossible to see colors, but then you start getting into the gray area of ones that are "maybes" and then people just get mad and it's silly.

Honestly this is no different than using color tags because they work about the same way except they don't have the tags when you quote them. If it really becomes a huge problem I'm able to deny certain colors on a case-by-case basis but if it's just a few people then either ignore them or Ctrl+A.
