@ Rake - I was going off of what TSON and Cadet were telling me. And, trust me, back then there were HELL WORSE BROKEN CHARACTERS than Yoshi. The original Falco shot three off-placed lasers at once (basically impossible to dodge) and he had a stupid SH Nair Nair Nair Nair Nair Dtilt 0-death combo.

And you say Yoshi is broken?

Yoshi had dthrow, uair uair uair uair. Instant death on BF. Whilst there were/are some more broken characters (Jiggs), Yoshi was still stupidly broken.

Yeah, the D-throw - Uair thing was silly. I was actually the one telling them to nerf the Uair you know. >_> maybe they went overboard with the nerf but w/e. My only complaint is they took the Falcon Knee-style electric effect off of the sweetspot. seeing that always made me giggle.


Oh, and Calz, I really do wish I was as good at Brawl as I was Blur. I think I have the world record for (online) Cargo Run (your favourite track)

Kyle racing games dont require as much skill as fighting games, you can learn racing games by just playing them by yourself, you can't learn and become pro at brawl by just playing, you have to take so much into account, for brawl and melee anyway, i understand them.

i played that version too remember, but it was the version after that when you said yoshi was mid tier son

KMac never uses high tiers, he's always been a yoshi main. Don't know him for using yoshi if he's coincidentally high tier, his character loyalty is nonpareil.

Andy also doesn't know Blur shares a lot of Brawl's characterstics; reading, prediction, baiting/mindgames and just pure basics. I actually got a message from a Legend X player yesterday, who asked me what the hell it is I'm doing when I play because he hasn't beaten me once. O_o

It's just that I don't play Brawl like I do Blur ... whereas everyone else does. Which is probably why I'm not that good. -shrug.- I've just never been into fighters ... smash is the exception to that rule.


Also how did Calz get so good? For the first half-year or so at the game he played only Swithe and me ... yet first fest I took him to he almost took out Aiko. proof right there.


and KJ is right. All Jiggz needs is something to combo into the Uair, and everyone else can only pray she screws up. She can only realistically 0-death people at low % anyway, people get too high % and her attacks knock them too far away ... then it ends up falling to mindgames.

You can't really compare fighters to racers. but in general hardcore games go like....

You only get as good at something as you want to be. Calzorz is better than us because he wants it more, so trains more etc etc blah blah
