You're treating Bard as The Big Setup Deal, when prior to that your attention was pointed in a good direction. We're not in endgame, or near endgame, and I've already got due attention paid to Bard, so you (as a resource) would be better-suited to the productive things you were already doing.

You've got to be kidding me. Bard fights like a dog for thread control against people he deems to be challenging his posts. Bard "stopping" when he did was only by merit of his already having said it a few times (not as many as has been bandied about, even) and not having posted it since. Correlation is not causation.

Bardull, I really don't think you understand, in any sense of the word, that claiming the bad guy doesn't mean anything at all in most mafia games. I have claimed countless "bad characters" as town and have certainly claimed "good characters" as mafia. I can't remember which game it was but the scum-team had a safe-claim of the protagonist of whatever series it is. Ever since, names/flavour/whatever don't matter a lick to me unless it is blatantly obvious which even in those cases I still make sure that every avenue has been covered in it. Stop using "I claimed the main bad guy LOOK HOW SUPER TOWN I MUST BE." because it's a terrible defense and also keeps making you look worse and worse since that's all you are truly claiming to in the end. No one had forced you to claim, you just claimed to claim because you were fearful of something happening to you while you were V/LA.

Just stop.

I don't "try to act mysterious," Nabe. That's not my forte. Maybe awhile ago when I was like, 12, but what good does it do now? It's childish and stupid. You're misinterpreting the facts. Also, to say that I was acting in ignorance is hopefully you not turning a blind eye to your own actions; if I was reading you as Town, then I may have indulged you in your hypothetical the way you expected me to. Let's not forget you jumped on that poor excuse of a wagon that began on my slot early in the game and you had yet to explain yourself at all. Who are you to waltz in and assert yourself and then expect me to read you as town with your small contributions (no credibility)? You didn't seriously expect me to trust you, did you? It's only now through your level of comprehension that has shined through a sea comprised of molasses-esque substances that you've managed to make a dent in my initially perceived vision of the facts. Now I find FML to be null, because he's doing the same passive pressure thing I have seen him do as town before. I see PJB has even said that FML has claimed all credit while it really isn't his doing that got BW the attention he did. I expect that of him, Rake seems to have that stubborn air about him. He has his own weird tools and tells, and he even expects people to act or think in ways that I don't think they can or at least might not even remember. (The underlined)

Yet he's shaping up to be the lynch today. I would rather lynch Kary but it doesn't seem to be happening when others prefer FML over Kary. I don't see much scumminess from FML but I have no qualms with him dying. I'm going to leave my vote on him due to being VLA tommorow and out at New York. Zen Join me.

This doesn't relieve my concerns with you leaving a vote on him when he's vla. You are using the excuse of him coming in here while vla to sit on him and not do anything else. Since you have had your vote on Bardull the whole time, tell me how it has helped you read him (and tell me your opinion of him now).

i'm not making excuses for anything- him posting during during his v/la is really only relevant to why he claimed. having a vote on bardull gives him an opportunity to respond to it. like how he gives a big wishy washy read on my slot. then complains about me being dumb or scum. beyond that i've been asking him questions.

you asked me why my play early this game was different to later. I started this game being shouty at FML, just giving them CAPS and things to WORRY about. When FML started to flail and basically just talk about defending themselves, that playstyle wasn't necessary anymore.

His exact words when claiming doesn't matter. Just because he didn't exactly say he was claiming because he was hated, doesn't mean it isn't implied that he is claiming hated because he will be vla and therefore doesn't want **** to happen to him, a hated role, while vla.

To make it easier to understand "I'm claiming because I'll be VLA" implies he is also claiming because he is hated, when you see this: "I'm claiming [a hated role] because I'll be VLA"

You are only focusing on him 'not even being vla' but you aren't considering his hated role.

His wording does matter.
Maybe he's claiming because he's V/LA. Maybe because he's hated. Maybe because both.
Maybe he's claiming because he's scum and he thinks it will clear him.

If I want to try and understand why he claimed, i'm going to look at what wording he used. I'm going to ask him about it.
I'm going to say 'you said this, but you did that'? even when I know there might be a reasonable explanation. I'm considering everything he's said about his role, but i'm only giving him a hard time about the parts I find suspicious.

I asked FML about their explanation of their early game votes, because to me it was whack. they went on to explain it. It wasn't an explanation that filled me with confidence, but there wasn't anything to it that I wanted to follow up. When someone answers your question, you don't have to ask them another question.

now, I also felt that their response to pressure was weird, i.e. that they were trying to dispel people's scumreads on them by questioning them about it. Rather than just answering someone, or saying that their points don't make sense, they were trying to have a conversation about why their slot was scum. IMO, when you're town, that's a waste of time.

Now, when I see them doing this same thing again, I try and point it out again. I'm not trying to heap more dislike on their slot, i'm trying to get a better explanation from them, to get a better read on them. Me trying to interact with other slots in the meantime is irrelevant.
