Hehehe i already have access to marios hitboxes, but not allowed to give away the link. There is no floor, and the moves are not tested at the edge so the vid is of little use to me.

I eventually want AR for a few references. Frame perfect combos and bair ff wavelands. uair dj air dodge, as well as seeing what the move looks when only 1 frame of hitbox comes out. I also asked magus to test if mario has a spike, 100% does not have a spike :( tested every frame.

Haha, yet another, Mario owns Falcon vid. I can't mod my Melee cause I got the newer Wiis (a black one), so backups aren't possible yet.

I have a regular copy, I just want those texture hacks you guys have :D

My vids can be found at http://youtube.com/luigiluigix2 .

I'll let you decide whether or not my Mario is 'good'. ;D
hey man, not bad! i just watched your Mario against your friend's Doc in that compilation vid. maybe work on spacing a bit, and perfecting your bair. also, you have to grab moreeee. against Doc it isnt a big deal, but grabbing against everyone with Mario is awesome. depending on their weight, d-throw or u-throw always lead to a good amount of damage.

and texture hacks are awesome haha. making c.falcon look like captain america inspired me to play him for a couple of months haha. but my younger brother hogs that wii now so i'm stuck with no hacked smash.
and no captain america.
sad.

wicked good! Marth is one of my least favorite characters to go up against (along with Sheik). you did very well though. you space a lot like i do, i just dash dance a bit more, and you played a good patient game with Marth. good baiting and waiting for for openings. i did see a lotttt of unsafe rolls though! luckily he didn't punish them, a lot of them could have been read and f-smashed. Mario's rolls are actually really good when used the right way, but using it too much can be dangerous, especially against someone with a powerful f-smash. i've had the same problem with my Mario for a while, i just recently started cutting down on my rolls and it's going great!

very good wavedashing OOS and nair OOS by the way!
all in all, a very good game dude! wouldnt have done better myself!

honestly j3ly I think you could've punished a bit more. but then again I'm kind of risky/reckless myself, so I think you were just playing it safe.
that marth was very gay

Not bad. could work on more speed and edgeguards. you play a bit more subdued than I. lol I like to be real aggressive.

also
A risky mario will never be good unless he knows when and when not to take the risks.
so you should say
The informed risky mario is quite good.

lol informed risky
I like that term.

j3rly (crap I can't remember how to spell it LOL)
Nice work against Marth on FD. Tough thing to do when the Marth camps and spaces like the one you played.
He had absolutely no OOS game though, which would be devastating to all the Nairs OOS you did against his shield (his would actually combo you from there)

About 50% of the Nairs were JUICY grab opportunities. Grab more is always a given though (as was also mentioned about M1@funks vid against someone else [a Doc I think he said])
Those grabs would've been another good stock worth of damage and chances if you took them instead of Nairing.

The Nair worked a lot (especially when approaching with shield and anticipating him to grab etc), but it didn't work just as much (like when he shielded for seconds and never got punished.
Good patience and good shield work though, you definitely play it smart enough that when you get your grab game in there more it'll make you a force against all kinds of Marths.
:)

first off, I sigged your post condemned. too good.
2nd off, if you're risky and dumb, then you have no reason to be risky. I used to be that way, just randomly going off stage or using down-B onstage. but then I became less R tarded and watched a video

First off, im honored and i hope that i can be funny in the future
second off, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qk1sW1EUpgE is the good risky when you perfect it. and some of the moves could be replaced with Bairs but that not the point.....good **** N0ne
yeah n0ne is pretty good. funny edgeguards too. the down B edgeguard was tooooooo good.
and does C falc really talk like that in your version of smash or did you change it with the hacks?

I feel that the more risky the mario is, the better he does
I dunno, I think Mario can play conservatively quite well with tools like Cape Stalling and his really safe F-smash and Jab combo. Then again, it's in my playstyle to be extremely conservative and to think about safety first before making reads.

I should probably get up more videos of my Mario though. I think I play very differently from most of the people on this board.

lol i really love that matchup .. mario v falcon.
hell i even love mario v spacies. i tihink i play really well against them

ive never approved of marios matchup list, idk why maybe its just my playstyle or something, my biggest 2 matchups are luigi and peach. Reason being that its very hard to land clean hits. Almost all of them are trades so its a dangerous game . at least 4 me i think it that way.
I have trouble *a little against SPACY foxes cause fox ***** marios falling speed. Falco not that much. just gotta be a little unpredictable using your up b / cape/cape stall / down b
if u try and figure out all the different ways to get back to stage u can get at least 10 different combinations.

lol in that video i made the mistake of doing too many u tilts. its good , but CCing is too popular these days. in the other games that day i made up for my mistake tho.
Ill recommend watching these

hey j3ly on ur marth match u did good and nah i honestly didnt think it was bad. i mean, u were on fd and vs marth its imposible NOT to recieve excessive hits but next time what u can do is if u see marth is double fair walling then just CC his 2nd fair and then aproach quickly and dsmash or grab. ull see after a while he´ll stop fairing cause of ´´fear´´ haha good job though. how much money was it?

LoL here's my thoughts.

none:
Your vids kind of simply showed you're better than your Falcon opponents. All lot of them simply jumped into everything and there were periods where you could've simply walled a Bair and they'd never get through for a while. Also, it was apparent that it was somewhat lulzy since you were both resorting to things a little sillily (falcon dsmashing 4 times in a row in one match lol)
Weonx or whatever had the right idea what to do as Falcon but his spacing was nasty as Marth (again, lulzy fsmash spam)

One thing I'm glad you did near the END of a few matches was actually waveland on the PLATFORMS to continue combos/grab/smash/etc (i can't remember but I think the last combo in one was a WL fsmash that you could've pulled off a few times in the other matches). If you did that throughout the WHOLE match, it would be much more effective.
It's like Falcon techchasing only HALF the time because he's too lazy to DD sometimes, it's just beneficial to do. Finish your techchases, you already know how to start them! :D

If you can get matches against TOUGH opponents, that would be awesome to see. Those are just like "SD, I'll just Bair and cape and come back whatever"... and Ganon is a boring character lol

j3ly:
Good try against that tough Foxy. As you said, you were getting lulzy from playing lulzy the first couple sets (I hate that too) but there's really simple things you can do to prevent that from happening. The MAJOR one being commiting to jumps. Every second time you full jumped or tried to come down from platforms, you'd get punished. Next time, just force yourself to get to the ground the SAFE way until you're NOT lulzy, as you know that you wouldn't jump at someone HOPING they run into a Dair from a platform if you WERE on your game.

For the most part, the tough part about Fox is that early % where the Bairs etc won't do anything to him. The only thing I would suggest is 'go for grabs' instead of 'go for aerials' at lower %. Trading an aerial with something Fox does or missing and getting punished is just the same as grabbing and missing, but grabs have very little punish time, you can use them as bait, AND they have much more effective benefits from landing them at low %.
And to top it off, at higher %, he started to SHIELD spam, as any Fox would. If you went for straight grabs, the Nairs/dsmash techchases would come instead of risking them straight away. Essentially, just grab more, I know you were lulzy from the previous matches and the ones you posted before were friendlies, but grabbing is the major thing still.

Both:
Your Fireball game is cute, but try Fireball to WL to GRAB!!! lol
You had sooooooo many chances with them just sitting there after getting hit or shielding it, and you'd WD dsmash or aerial or ftilt or something on their shield...
just GRAB!!! >:[
Makes me happy though! You guys easily could go ^^^^^^ with slight tweaks. As far as I can tell. So good stuff! <3
:)

Edit: About the fireball > WL > grab thing.
If you do it just ONCE, a smart opponent would understand that you have the option, therefore they wouldn't sit in their shield through the whole thing and THEN they might jump/not shield/attack back and get HIT by the things you USUALLY do.
Just my thoughts.

Why would I say 'grab more' if it wasn't correct? hahaha
I wouldn't give it as a suggestion otherwise, but more of thought I had that I'd want suggestions on. lol

But yeah, grabbing is important.
Essentially, the CORE behind grabbing, is simple.
When Falcon lands an aerial, they often REGRAB. Not because it hurts, but because it LEADS to hurt. When Marth can grab, he almost always will, because it LEADS to hurt (even mid combo)
The same applies to almost every character.
If you're playing defensively/under pressure etc and FINALLY get that chance to do some offense back against a fast/gay character, you want to MAXIMIZE what you can do. If you keep going for grabs, you'll set yourself up with LOTS of practice and opportunity to amplify what you can do out of those 'offensive opportunities' that Bair/etc would otherwise replace and end immediately without continuing the pressure.
Then when you're a GRAB MASTER, EVERY chance you DO get from there on will be MAXED because you've spent SOOOO many matches and SOOOO much time simply FORCING yourself to try to get grabs, even when SOMETIMES you might have a better choice at the time, GRABS in the LONG run (short run too) are generally more beneficial than doing the 'guaranteed but not most efficient' things that will later become natural to you anyway.
Grab. Everybody knows this, and has probably also suggested that someone else does it more.
Yet it can take so long to actually do. FORCE yourself to do it, pleeeeeeaaase lol
I might have something recorded at a tourney this weekend. I'll play a bit of Mario so maybe something will turn up when it's over. :/
I'll show you what I mean by grab spam... as you could probably guess, that's like all I do. lol
