First off nobody uses the diddy kong video thread sticky, so I made a new thread so people actually see it. Sue me.

Ok here are a couple sets from two tournaments I've been to over this past month. I've really hit a plateau and can't seem to place higher than about 7th. So please try to point out holes in my game and criticize me harshly .

(i watched m2k fights)Start Sheilding up more, u got sucked into a bunch of avoidable nados... also try not to waste ur bananas throwing em off stage, (lol in pokemon stadium i never knew i can rocket barrel into the wall and damage ppl, ty for that lol) try switching up ur recoverey a bit, cuz its a bit predictable n u got madd punished... start using ur popgun more, like in spots where u kinda short hop around or walk, u build up baby damage n idk give ppl a bit less options somtimes... try to be a lil more unpreditable with ur nanarz, like idk dribble a bit and maybe aproach with SH Fairs or SiideB... idk... not bad tho... hope dis helpd

Dude, Sauce Boss, we gotta rep Diddy in MI. Get that monkey in the power rankings somehow. Work together, you know? Will check out vids later and add whatever I can. I know I'm not the most experienced player but I'm pretty good at seeing what needs to be improved I think. I have some vids up from the last LoLiS in the critique my diddy thread too.

I definitely do need to camp more and peanut, but autopilot? I don't think I autopilot at all. I feel like people say that to every diddy video as a sort of catch-all about playing bad .

I actually do shield up the tornados, but if you notice I shake my shield up and down sometimes and it pokes thru lol. I think it was just shaking up and down because I was nervous or something. Noted about the pop-gun though.

you were to careless when being aggressive against m2k. You'd throw in random fairs when he was dair camping you, then just punished the **** out of you.

yeah I wasn't being patient enough and I'd be all like "**** it I'm gonna go fair this foo" lol. Bad decisions on my part.

Nice job sauceboss, liked what I saw. Just be careful about fair, bc the aerial lag it has afterwards really sucks if you miss. It's safer to fair only randomly and once in a blue mooon.

you were autopilot because everytime he seperated you from a banana you'd run straight for it and try to dash attack to pick it up or something. It was really predictable and he punished you alot for it. Thats just one example

There were a few peanuts in the first match.

I agree with NaPPy though, you would always chase bananas that were "blocked" by M2K. That was especially when he was in the air, and it looked like there was a clear path on the ground. Not saying that I'd do better, since I'm still learning Diddy, but it's something that someone like M2K would catch instantly.

Yeah I think peanuts would've been the best/safest decision. I don't use nuts nearly enough.

Saying you were on autopilot is a blanket term basically meaning "you made bad decisions". It's not very helpful critiquing. Specifics like "don't go after bananas when you can peanut" or "don't use fair as much" are much more helpful.
