In case anybody is confused, there will be 8 tv's available at the venue. The first 8 people who bring a wiiu/disc/adapter for the tv's will have their venue fee waived. The setup must be tourney ready (meaning don't forget anything important and have everything legal unlocked).

As far a convenience goes, we may not have sufficient resources to stream for SAM3 this Saturday due to Santi being out. I'll try to get as many recordings as I can before I dip.

Yeah. One thing to keep in mind is the difference in ELO between you and your surrounding opposition. Plenty of placements are only a handful of points apart.

I'm not gonna complain about the system we use for points and placement, mostly because plenty of people will do that/have done that in the past. It's probably the only system that will work for keeping everything fair for all parties involved. It's just frustrating that I perform exceptionally well, requiring top level players like Santi or Megafox to knock me out, yet I'm consistently in 11th place. ***** ***** moan moan complain complain. I'll just have to put in more work for next time I guess.

Thing you gotta understand is that you have to improve on an exponential level before you can take on those beyond the first major jump in top ten (6 and up). almost everyone that's up there, even in the bottom half of top ten, has put in years of work into these games. Can't expect to beat someone like that if you've straight up just started playing these games on a competitive level.

Work work work. That's pretty much the solution.

I'm not sure on 11th and 12th, but your score looked like this back from LoS 10. 7-8, you actually go 5-8 if we remove mindless wins

Not the top players. Not for awhile, at least.

Raw talent will get you to a certain place above others, but hard work gets you the rest of the way. That's what Mega's done in the last 3-4 years.

Maybe I am jumping the gun a bit, but I'm mainly just speaking my peace. I don't want sympathy, empathy, or pity. And I sure as hell don't want this to be easy. I just want to be heard. I'll see you all next weekly.

BTW Espy, we need to do more fights. We've only ever played one time in a friendly XC

Oh jband, it's because he needed to attend half the tournaments to participate in the LoS finals. Which is why FCF can't go anymore since he missed last weeks so he had no incentive to go to yesterday's.

Consistency and learning curve too. I had my own expectations as well. Skill gap between these players is pretty harsh at most times. I've played a little less longer in the competitive scene with these guys since late Melee early Brawl and I would've thought I'd be on their level by this time. My aptitude for the learning curve is pretty damn bad and I'm practically the trash of the veterans hence there was a lot of clamoring in Weekly 11. Those upsets were pretty prideful, but they're not consistent and probably were flukes. Being fresh to the scene, you have plenty of time to hone your skills at the top of the list. One phrase that hasn't left me in this scene is when someone has "something to prove." Circa Brawl '09?
